AT an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Hamiltons Sluicing Company (Limited) held on Tuesday, the 25th day of November, 1913, at 8 o’clock p.m., the following resolution was considered and carried :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily; and that a Liquidator be appointed for such liquidation at a fee to be fixed.”
And, further, it was resolved that Mr. R. A. MATHEWSON be appointed Liquidator to conduct the winding-up of the company, at a fee of ten guineas.

In the matter of Thomas Mitchell (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at Wanganui on the 26th day of November, 1913, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that DAVID CULLINANE, JOHN McGREGOR, CHARLES HARRIS BURNETT, and ALFRED HARRIS be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.

HAWKE’S BAY RIVERS BOARD.
RESOLUTION ALTERING BOUNDARIES OF HASTINGS SUBURBAN WARD AND INTENDED TO OPERATE AS A SPECIAL ORDER.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them by section 10 of the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Act, 1910, the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board hereby resolve as follows :—
That the boundaries of the Hastings Suburban Ward be altered so as to include within the said ward Lots 2 and 3 of the Mahora Settlement, and that for this purpose the description of the said ward given in the Schedule to the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Amendment Act, 1912, be amended by striking out all words between “Lot 52” in line 22 of the description and “thence” in line 25 thereof, and by inserting the following words in lieu of the words struck out: “thence south-easterly by a right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 3 of the Mahora Settlement; thence north-easterly and south-easterly by the north-western boundary of that lot and by the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2 of the said settlement to a public road; thence south-easterly by that road to the Pakowhai Road.”
The common seal of the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board was hereunto affixed by order of the said Board the 25th day of August, 1913, in the presence of—

The foregoing resolution was passed by the said Board at a special meeting thereof duly called and held in the Hawke’s
Bay County Council Chambers, in Herschell Street, Napier, on Monday, the 30th day of June, 1913, at the hour of 12 noon, and was confirmed as a special order at a subsequent meeting of the said Board notified in the prescribed manner and helden at the Clerk’s office on Monday, the 25th day of August, 1913, at the hour of 11 in the forenoon.

THE COUNTIES ACT, 1908, AND THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
IN pursuance of the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, the body corporate called the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitotara hereby gives notice that it intends to acquire and lay out as part of the public road known as the “Lower Kai Iwi Road,” in Block XV, Nukumaru Survey District, and do all works and things incidental thereto; and for the purpose and object of so doing the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required and will require to be taken by the said Corporation under the provisions of the above Acts; and that a survey has been made and a plan prepared, signed by John Arnabell, of Wanganui, Surveyor (pink and blue), showing such land, together with the names of the owners and occupiers thereof so far as they can be ascertained; and that a copy of such plan has been deposited in the office of the said Corporation in Ridgway Street, Wanganui, the place directed by the said Corporation, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk, Waitotara County Council, Wanganui.
