Notice of Intention to take Land in Block X, Mangonui Survey District, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block X, Mangonui Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mangonui, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IX, Tarawera Survey District, for Forest-plantation Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take, for forest-plantation purposes, the land described in the Schedule hereto.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whakarewarewa, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Revoking of Order forbidding Money-orders and Postal Correspondence for H. H. Watson, Sydney.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand being satisfied that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is no longer engaged in advertising the treatment of diseases of the sexual organs, hereby rescinds the order made on the 10th day of January, 1910, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th day of January, 1910, forbidding that any money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that any postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name) shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand, and orders that such money-orders shall be issued and that such postal packets shall be registered, forwarded, and delivered in the usual course.

Applications invited for the Position of Head Gardener, Hanmer Springs Sanatorium.

APPLICATIONS will be received up till noon on the 15th December, 1913, for the position of Head Gardener, Hanmer Springs Sanatorium.

Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

Applicants must not be more than forty-five years of age.

Applicants must be possessed of both theoretical and practical knowledge of gardening, including landscape and propagating work, the management of golf links, bowling-greens, and tennis-courts, and vegetable and fruit growing. Preference will be given to applicants who also have general knowledge of farming and the management of milch cattle.

Salary, £185 per annum; maximum, £200. General Division.

The successful applicant will be required to reside in the cottage in the gardens provided for the Head Gardener, and for which a rent at the rate of £22 per annum will be deducted from salary. He will be required to take charge as working Head Gardener of the Hanmer Hot Springs gardens, orchards, reserves, and cropping and grazing lands.

APPLICATIONS will be received by the undersigned up till noon on the 19th December, 1913, from officers of the Lands and Survey Department, for the position of Counter Clerk in the District Office of the Lands and Survey Department at Invercargill.
Applications must be made on forms obtainable from the Permanent Head of the Lands and Survey Department.
Applicants must have a knowledge of the Land Act, 1885, the Land Act, 1908, Land for Settlements Acts, Public Reserves and Domains Acts, Education Reserves Acts, and also (in so far as they concern the granting, &c., of leases of land) of the Mining Act and Coal-mines Act.
The position will be graded in Class VI, Clerical Division. Maximum, £260.
