NOTICE is hereby given that Michelin Tyre Company (Limited), a company duly incorporated in England under the Imperial Companies Acts, intends to commence and carry on business in New Zealand, and that the office where legal process of any kind may be served upon the company and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered is at the offices of Messrs. Duncan, Cotterill, & Stringer, Cathedral Square, Christchurch.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.

I, JACK GARLAND SKEET, Mem. Roy. Coll. Surg. Eng. 1913, Lic. Roy. Coll. Phy. Lon. 1913, now residing in Auckland, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 28th November next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.

CARTER’S WINDOW SASH LIFTER (LIMITED).

THE following extraordinary resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the Carter’s Window Sash Lifter (Limited) held in the registered office of the company, Hobson Buildings, Auckland, on the 15th day of October, 1913, at 7.30 o’clock p.m. :

That, by reason of its liabilities and the improbability of being able to carry on its business through the existing insufficient prospects of success, the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. SEERING H. MATTHEWS be the Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

THE following extraordinary resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the Carter’s Champion Window Sash Company (Limited) held in the registered office of the company, Hobson Buildings, Auckland, on the 15th day of October, 1913, at the hour of 7.30 p.m. :

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the New Zealand Cinnabar (Limited), (in Liquidation).

IT is hereby notified that at an extraordinary general meeting of the New Zealand Cinnabar (Limited) duly convened and held at the company’s office at Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, in the City of Auckland, on the 18th day of September, 1913, the following resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 9th day of October, 1913, the same resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution, namely :

“That the New Zealand Cinnabar (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

And at such last-mentioned meeting WALTER JACQUES CARTER, of Auckland, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.

BEAMISH’S PATENT PRISMATIC ROOFING COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of Beamish’s Patent Prismatic Roofing Company (Limited), (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 17th day of December, 1913, to send their names and postal addresses, and detailed particulars of their claims, to the undersigned, the Liquidator of the said company; and if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator are to come in and prove their said claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such claims are proved.

FEATHERSTON TOWN DISTRICT.

PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN OF £500.

I HEREBY give public notice that the poll of ratepayers taken on Wednesday, 20th August, 1913, on the proposal to raise a loan of £500 for the purpose of carrying out improvements to the Town Hall resulted: For the proposal, 46 votes; against the proposal, 33 votes; informal, 1: total, 80.

I therefore declare the proposal carried.

BOROUGH OF CAMBRIDGE.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Cambridge was taken on the 17th day of October, 1913, on the proposal of the Cambridge Borough Council to borrow the sum of eighteen thousand pounds for waterworks extension, street formation, and gasworks extension, as under :

The number of votes recorded for the water-tower, pumping plant, fire-engine, &c., proposal (£8,000) was 143; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 45.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

The number of votes recorded for the street formation and plant proposal (£8,000) was 138; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 45.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

The number of votes recorded for the gasworks plant and extension proposal (£2,000) was 148; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 37.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Bewley & Fraser (Limited) duly convened and held on the 23rd day of October, 1913, the following resolutions were passed :

  1. “That it having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily.

  2. “That E. G. PINKER, Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
