WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Wanganui County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building County Offices and paying for the site thereof in Campbell Place, Wanganui, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventy-second of one penny (1/72nd of 1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Wanganui; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Wanganui County Council was hereto affixed at the offices of and pursuant to a resolution of the Wanganui County Council in the presence of—

BOROUGH OF ST. KILDA.

RESOLUTION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the St. Kilda Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges and sinking fund on a loan of £25,500, authorized to be raised by the St. Kilda Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for road and footpath formation, for waterworks, purchase of one water-cart, and erection of fire-alarms, the said St. Kilda Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1⅜ pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of St. Kilda, comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and on the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed on the 30th day of September, 1913.
The above is a copy of a resolution passed by the St. Kilda Borough Council at its meeting held on the thirtieth day of September, 1913.

INCH CLUTHA ROAD, RIVER, AND DRAINAGE BOARD.

AT a meeting of the above Board held on the twentieth (20th) day of September, 1913, at 2 o’clock p.m., the following resolution was passed :—
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Inch Clutha Road, River, and Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purposes of raising and strengthening the flood-banks on Inch Clutha to protect the Inch Clutha Road, River, and Drainage District from river-floods, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-farthing in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the said district; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

THE HANDSWORTH UNITED GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Handsworth United Gold-mining Company (Limited) duly convened and held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on the 19th day of September, 1913, the subjoined resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 7th day of October, 1913, the subjoined resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :—
“That the Handsworth United Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”
And at the last above meeting HENRY GILFILLAN, Company Secretary and Accountant, of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the above company held on the 19th day of February, 1913, it was resolved that the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that BERTRAM JOSEPH JACOBS, of Palmerston North, Solicitor, be appointed Liquidator; and that at a special general meeting of the company held on the 12th day of March, 1913, the resolution was confirmed.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
TARANAKI DISTRICT.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of the Taranaki Farmers Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 27th day of September, 1913, presented to the Honourable Mr. Justice Edwards, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Newton King, Charles Hayward Burgess, and Murdoch Fraser, of New Plymouth, Merchants, creditors of the said company. And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on Friday, the 24th day of October, 1913, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, or on the first day and so soon thereafter as counsel can be heard; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership existing between us, the undersigned, and Oliver Noel Gillespie, carrying on business as Barristers and Solicitors since the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at Feilding, under the style of “Prior, Gillespie, Miles, & Co.,” and at Marton and Taihape under the style of “Fullerton-Smith, Miles, & Cook,” has been dissolved by the undersigned as from the date hereof so far as concerns the said Oliver Noel Gillespie, who will no longer have any connection or association with the said businesses or any of them.” The business heretofore conducted at Marton and Taihape under the style of “Fullerton-Smith, Miles, & Cook” and the business previously conducted at Feilding under the style of “Prior, Gillespie, Miles, & Co.” will in future be carried on by the undersigned under the style of “FULLERTON-SMITH, MILES, & COOK” at all three offices.
