SPRING CREEK ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Spring Creek Road Board was taken on the 16th day of September, 1913, on the proposal of the Spring Creek Road Board to borrow the sum of three thousand five hundred pounds for the following undertakings :—
Board’s share of cost of constructing proposed Opawa Bridge at Grove Road.. £ 3,150
Board’s share of cost of constructing Wairau Bridge near Renwicktown 250
Board’s share of cost of constructing High Street West Bridge 100
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 77. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

CLUTHA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Clutha County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Clutha County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for metalling a section of the Clinton–Wyndham Road within the Clinton Gorge Special-rating District, the said Clutha County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fifths (3/5ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Clinton Gorge Special-rating District, comprising a portion of Clinton Riding in the County of Clutha, the boundaries of which district are as follows : Commencing at a point at the north-eastern boundary of Section 9, Block V, Kuriwao Survey District, thence across the road at that point, thence by the eastern side of the said road-line (being the western side of Section 14) to its junction with the Clinton–Owaka Road, thence across that road to the north-eastern boundary of Section 20, thence by the eastern and south-eastern boundary of the said Section 20 to its junction with Section 18, thence by the eastern boundary of that section to its south-east corner, thence by the southern boundary of Section 18 in a westerly direction to a road-line, thence across that oad, and by the north-eastern boundary of Section 15, all in Block V, Kuriwao Survey District, to a block-line between Blocks V and VIII, Kuriwao Survey District ; thence by the said block-line in a western direction to the north-east corner of Section I, Block VIII, Kuriwao Survey District thence by the eastern boundary-line of Sections 1 and in a southerly direction to the south-east corner of Section 8 ; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 8 and 7 to the block-line between Blocks VII and VIII, Kuriwao Survey District ; thence by the said block-line in a southerly direction to its junction with Run 258 ; thence by the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of the said Run 258 to the Wyndham or Mokoreta River ; thence by the said river in a westerly direction to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section 5, Block VII, Slopedown Survey District, by a right line to and by the last-mentioned boundary-line and its production to the south-east boundary of Run No. 251 in the said Block VII ; thence again towards the west by the last-mentioned run to Section 2, Block VI, Slopedown Survey District ; thence by the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 2 in a north-easterly direction and by the north-western boundary-line of Run 258 to the Waipahi River ; thence by the said Waipahi River, upstream, to the block-line between Blocks VI and VII, Kuriwao Survey District ; thence by the said block-line in an eastern direction to the eastern boundary-line of Block VI ; thence by the block-line between Blocks V and VIII to the south-eastern boundary of Section 14, Block V, Kuriwao Survey District ; thence by the eastern boundary-lines of Sections 14 and 13 to a road-line on the north-eastern side of Section 13 ; thence by that road-line in a westerly direction to the western boundary-line of Section 8 ; thence by the western boundary-line of Section 8 to the northern boundary of the said section ; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 9, Block V, Kuriwao Survey District, to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Clutha County Council held on the 3rd day of October, 1913.

POINT CHEVALIER ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD PASSED AT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD HELD ON 25TH SEPTEMBER, 1913.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Point Chevalier Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £11,500, authorized to be raised by the Point Chevalier Road Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of general road improvements, the said Point Chevalier Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and a farthing in the pound (1¼d. in the pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Point Chevalier Road Board District, comprising the whole of the Point Chevalier District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.
HILLSIDE SPECIAL-RATING AREA.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Kirikiriroa Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the said Road Board, under the above Act, for the following purpose—of forming, constructing, and gravelling roads within that portion of the Kirikiriroa Road District known as the Hillside Special-rating Area—the said Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth (1/5th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Hillside Special-rating Area, being all that area in the County of Waikato and Kirikiriroa Road District, being part of a block of land known as the Woodlands Estate, bounded, commencing at the southern corner of Section 6 of a subdivision of the said Woodlands Estate known as the Hillside and Ormond Block, towards the west by Section 7 of the said block ; thence towards the north by Sections 4 and 19 of the said block ; thence towards the west by Sections 19, 16, and 15 of the said block ; thence towards the north by Section 2B on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as Number 7126 ; thence towards the east by Section 26 of the said block ; thence towards the south-west by the Government Experimental Farm and Sections 13 and 14 of the said block ; thence towards the south by Sections 13 and 11 of the said block ; thence towards the west by Section 10 and a line across a road to the commencing-point : and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of September and March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty (40) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
