THE DANNEVIRKE BACON COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following extraordinary resolution in pursuance of the Companies Act, 1908, was passed at a general meeting of the shareholders held on the 24th day of September, 1913 :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”
And that at an adjournment of this meeting held on the 1st day of October, 1913, Mr. J. J. PATTERSON, Secretary of the Company, was appointed Liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, William Albert Smith Fenner and Walter Llewellyn King in the trade or business of Wholesale Ironmongers, carried on at Lichfield Street, Christchurch, under the style of “William Fenner & Co.,” was dissolved on the ninth day of October, 1913, by mutual consent.
All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid respectively by WILLIAM ALBERT SMITH FENNER, who will continue to carry on business on his own account at the premises occupied by the late firm.

AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL FOR LOAN.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Akaroa was taken on the twenty-fifth day of September, 1913, on the proposal of the Akaroa Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,500 for the purpose of kerbing and channelling the streets in the borough.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 30. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 79. I hereby declare the said proposal to be rejected.
