At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of September, 1913.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Nelson Land District, Buller County, known as the Glenhope-Westport-Reefton Road, commencing at the Westport Borough boundary, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally to the Inangahua Junction, and then in a north-easterly direction generally to a bridge on the Eight-mile Creek, being a distance of 47 miles 60 chains, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 33906, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of road in the Nelson Land District, Waimea and Murchison Counties, known as the Glenhope-Westport-Reefton Road, commencing at Glenhope Railway-station, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally along the western bank of the Hope River to its confluence with the Buller River; thence in a westerly direction generally along the northern side of the Buller River to the junction with the Owen River; thence continuing in a south-westerly direction generally along the western bank of the Buller River to the junction with the Mangles River, crossing the river at this point over the Longford Bridge, and thence along the southern bank of the Buller and Public Utility Reserve 117 to the north-west corner of Section 9, Block II, Tutaki Survey District; thence through Murchison Township via Chalgrave Street in a southerly direction to the south-east corner of Section 11, Square 170; thence westerly along Waller Street to the north-west corner of Section 37; thence southerly along Fairfax Street to the south-west corner of Section 50; thence westerly along Hotham Street and across Matakītaki River Bridge; thence north-westerly generally along the west bank of the Buller River to Sections 86 and 87, Block I, Tutaki Survey District; thence by the unlegalized portion of the road through the Four River Plain, through Sections 78, 77, and 76, Block I, Tutaki Survey District, Sections 68, 67, 60, 59, and along the frontages of Sections 63, 58, 57, and 62, Block XIII, Matiri Survey District, to the mouth of the Doughboy Creek; thence in a westerly direction generally along the south bank of the Buller River to O’Sullivan’s Bridge, crossing the bridge; thence in a westerly direction generally on the north side of the Buller River, and terminating at its junction with the Eight-mile or Boundary Creek, being a distance of 48 miles, more or less: as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 33871, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of September, 1913.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, regulations were made under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), fixing charges for the transmission of radio-telegrams: And whereas it is desirable to add to the said regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the additional regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth declare that such regulations shall be read as part of the hereinbefore-mentioned regulations, and shall have effect from the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
CHARGES.
Ordinary Charge.—THE charge for the transmission of a radio-telegram between the mainland of New Zealand and Chatham Islands, either way (including New Zealand inland charges), shall be 6d. per word.
Transit Charge.—Whenever Chatham Islands is used as a transmitting station, 4d. per word.
Press Messages.—The charge for Press radio-telegrams between the mainland of New Zealand and Chatham Islands, either way, shall be 5s. per 100 words or fraction thereof.
