DESCRIPTION OF DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District contained in Blocks 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, Purua Survey District, Blocks 2, 5, and 6, Tangihua Survey District, and Block 4, Maungaru Survey District, inclusive of the Kioreroa Block, an endowment of the Whangarei High School situated within that area.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Post-office in Block XIII, Town of Buckley.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of September, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, in section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that, except for the purpose of a railway or defence purposes, or for the purposes of any other work to be made under the authority of a special Act, nothing in this Act contained shall authorize the taking of any land occupied by any building, yard, garden, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas part of the land described in the Schedule hereto is occupied by a building, and the Minister of Public Works has recommended the Governor to issue an Order in Council under the said Act consenting to the taking of the said land for the purposes of a post-office in Block XIII, Town of Buckley:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of September, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Consenting to the Granting of a License to remove Timber under Section 280 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of September, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and eighty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted, inter alia, that a Maori Land Board may grant licenses for the removal of timber, flax, kauri-gum, or minerals from any land vested in that Board and subject to Part XIV of the said Act, provided that no such license shall be granted without the consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas application has been made to the Tokerau District Maori Land Board for the issue of a license to remove timber in and over the Kaurinui 3B Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks, which land is vested in the said Board and subject to the aforesaid Part XIV: And whereas it is expedient that a license to remove timber be granted:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby consent to the issue and the granting of a license to remove timber, by the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, in and over the aforesaid blocks or parcels of land. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block XVI, Newcastle Survey District, Newcastle Road District, Waipa County.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of September, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Newcastle Road Board has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Newcastle Road Board stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.
