WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.
WAERENGA (SUBDIVISION) SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.
IN pursuance of section 11 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of that part of the Whangamarino Road District known as the Waerenga (Subdivision) Special-rating District was taken on the 27th day of August, 1913, upon the proposal of the Whangamarino Road Board to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of forming, opening up, and metalling roads within the said Waerenga (Subdivision) Special-rating District. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 61. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 25. The number of votes that were informal was 2. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried. Dated the 28th day of August, 1913.

GONVILLE TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Gonville Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges and sinking fund on a loan of £25,000, to be known as the General Improvements Loan No. 2, authorized to be raised by the Gonville Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for general improvements—namely, drainage and water extension, acquiring land for constructing new roads and streets, and for general improvements to existing roads and streets (including widening and remetalling such roads and streets, formation of footpaths, and for street lighting), and for general improvements to the recreation reserve—the said Gonville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and seven-eighths (1⅞ths) of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Gonville Town District, comprising the whole of the Gonville Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the third day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above is a copy of a resolution passed by the Gonville Town Board at a meeting held on the 3rd day of September, 1913.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between the undersigned ARUNDEL STOYLE WEBSTER and EDWARD JOHN CUSDIN, carrying on business as Coach Proprietors and Livery-stable Keepers at Little River, Duvauchelles, and Akaroa, under the style or firm of “Webster and Cusdin,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will be continued by the said EDWARD JOHN CUSDIN alone in his own name. All debts due to the late firm must be paid to the said EDWARD JOHN CUSDIN, who will satisfy the liabilities of the late firm.
As witness the hands of the said Arundel Stoyle Webster and Edward John Cusdin, this 1st day of March, 1913.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE OVER PUKEKAWA NO. 2 SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR LOAN OF £450.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and amendments thereto, and all other Acts it in that behalf enabling, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £450, authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and amendments thereto, being an additional amount of ten per cent. on the original loan of £4,500 raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of forming and metalling certain roads in the said Pukekawa No. 2 Special-rating District of the Raglan County, which the above sum of £4,500 has not been found sufficient to complete, the expenditure of the above-mentioned £450 to be devoted to complete the said loan-work, and to be allocated as to £320 in completing the formation and metalling of the Pukekawa Main Road, £90 in completing the formation and metalling of Murrays River Bank and Road, £10 in completing the formation of McGuire’s Road (towards Mercer), £10 in completing the formation of Morgans Road, £10 in completing the formation of Hunts and Logans Road, and the balance of £10 in completing the formation of Eyres and Morrisons Road, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Pukekawa No. 2 Special-rating District.
The boundaries of the special-rating district are as follows: Commencing at the north-eastern corner of the Native Reserve, Block V, Onewhero; thence south along the eastern boundary of same section; thence north-east along the south-east boundary of Section 78 to Trig. 98; thence south-east along the southern boundaries of Sections 149A and 150A to the western boundary of Section 50; thence along the western and southern boundaries of Section 50 to the Waikato River; thence along the Waikato River to the Parish line at the eastern corner of Section 6607, Opuatia No. 10; thence south along the Parish line to the southern corner of Section Opuatia 7D; thence north-west to the northern corner of Section No. 1; thence south and west along the eastern and southern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2 to the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 7; thence along the eastern boundary of Section No. 7 to the road-line; thence following the road-line in a south-westerly direction to the Mangatea Stream at the south-western corner of Section 6486A; thence following the Mangatea Stream west and north to the south-western corner of Section No. 1; thence running due north along the western boundaries of Sections 1, 3, 8B, and 158 to the northern corner of Section 158; thence west and north along the southern boundaries of Sections 77 and 76 and the western boundaries of Sections 76 and 75 to the Waikato River; thence following the Waikato River to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, and the rate of interest to be paid to cover both interest and necessary sinking fund not to exceed six pounds per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. It is not the intention to pay out of loan the first year’s interest or cost of raising same.
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the 10th day of September, 1913.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been affixed this 10th day of September, 1913, in the presence of—

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.
I, THE UNDERSIGNED, William Thomas McFarlane, Mayor of the Borough of St. Kilda, hereby give notice that on the 30th day of August, 1913, a proposal was submitted by the St. Kilda Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of St. Kilda for raising a special loan of £25,500, repayable on the 1st day of September, 1944, in accordance with debentures to be issued by the Council in connection with the said loan, for the following particular purposes, that is to say:—
(1.) The sum of £24,075 for road and footpath formation.
(2.) The sum of £925 for waterworks.
(3.) The sum of £105 for the purchase of one water-cart.
(4.) The sum of £395 for the erection of fire-alarms.
