Havelock North Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction, installation, and carrying-out of a sewage system for the Havelock North Town District, including the acquisition of any lands, buildings, and plant that may be necessary; and to supply the said town district with a high-pressure water-supply, including the acquisition of any land, buildings, and plant that may be necessary; and also to supply the said town district with an electric light and power installation, including the acquisition of any land, buildings, and plant that may be necessary; the said Havelock North Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Havelock North Town District, comprising the whole of the Havelock North Town District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIKOUAITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000), authorized to be raised by the Waikouaiti Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for water-supply purposes, the said Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waikouaiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Waikouaiti Borough Council held on the 14th day of July, 1913.

WARKWORTH TOWN BOARD.

WHEREAS the Warkworth Town Board has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £3,300 for the purpose of building three concrete culverts on the Warkworth-Sandspit Road, for placing a ferro-concrete top on the Warkworth Bridge and increasing its width, and for forming and metalling the Warkworth-Sandspit Road, the Warkworth-Matakana Road, and the Warkworth-Puhoi Road, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has provisionally granted the application for such loan at the rate of £3¼ per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance such loan of £3,300 at the said rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £4½ per centum per annum:

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Warkworth Town Board resolves that, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payment in respect of such loan of £3,300, the said Warkworth Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-thirds of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the boundaries of the said Warkworth Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually upon the last Friday in January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION.

IN pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the amendments thereof, the Rodney County Council resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of paying the interest and other charges on an additional ten per cent. of the £1,500 loan authorized by the ratepayers of the Te Hana-Mangawai Special Loan District, and raised by the said Council for the forming and metalling of the Te Hana-Mangawai, amounting to the sum of £150, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Te Hana-Mangawai Special Loan District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, to be payable yearly upon the last Friday in January in each and every year during the currency of each loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Rodney County Council is authorized by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, and the Acts amending the same, to borrow an additional ten per cent. on the loan of £775 for the purpose of forming and metalling the Port Albert—Wellsford Roads, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1910, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances has provisionally approved the application for such loan at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance such loan of £75 at the said rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of 4½ per centum per annum:

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect to such loan (namely, £75), the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Albert Special Loan District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the last Friday in January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 21st day of August, 1913, a proposal was submitted by the Rodney County Council to the ratepayers of the Omaha Special Road Loan District for raising a special loan of £2,000 for the purpose of forming and metalling the road from Big Omaha to Pakiri via Leigh. And the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 73; against, 11. And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
