CITY OF AUCKLAND.
THE LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS ACT, 1908, AND THE AMENDMENTS THEREOF.
I HEREBY give notice that the result of the poll of the ratepayers of that part of the City of Auckland formerly comprising the Borough of Parnell, taken at Auckland on Wednesday, the 9th day of July, 1913, on the proposal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland to raise a special loan of £25,000, being £4,000 for extension and improvement of waterworks, £2,500 for the construction of swimming-baths, £3,000 for the payment of the late Parnell Borough Council’s overdraft, £15,000 for the formation and improvement of streets, and £500 for the improvement of parks, all within that part of the City of Auckland lately comprising the Borough of Parnell, was as follows: Number of votes recorded for the proposal, 258; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 44; majority for the proposal, 214. And I therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL.
EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT AN ORDINARY MEETING OF SUCH COUNCIL HELD ON THE 30TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1913, AT 11 A.M.
Moved by Councillor Win.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Murchison County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—to erect County Council Chambers for the said Council—the said Murchison County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Murchison; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Seconded by Councillor Thomson, and carried.
The common seal of the Murchison County Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Murchison County Council in the presence of—

WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IT was resolved, That whereas the Wairoa Borough Council has been duly authorized to raise a loan of £9,000 for the purpose of forming, metalling, draining certain streets in the Borough of Wairoa: And whereas the said £9,000 is found to be insufficient: Now, therefore, the Wairoa Borough Council, under the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £900 (being 10 per cent. of £9,000 already borrowed), the Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound (on basis of unimproved value) on all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Certified as a true copy of a resolution passed at a regular meeting of the Council held on 1st September, 1913.
