For every vessel under 20 tons gross register, and
every vessel trading within the Manukau Heads, s. d.

arrangement. The charge for cranage does not include the
cost of haulage to the crane when the goods have been pre-
viously deposited at a distance therefrom.
The working-hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on week-days.

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this
purpose vested, I, the Minister of Customs, do, by
this order under my hand, revoke and annul the appoint-
ment of the undermentioned warehouse for the reception
and security of goods entered to be warehoused without
payment of duty upon the first entry thereof, namely,—

Port of Wanganui.

The warehouse known as

TURNBULL’S BOND,

as appointed and described in Minister’s Order No. 718, of
the 9th day of June, 1903.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this 5th day of

Ratification by the King of Denmark of the International Mari-
time Conventions relating to Collisions and Salvage.

A NOTIFICATION has been received from the Secretary
of State for the Colonies that the Belgian Government
have notified the deposit, on the 18th June last, of the ratifi-
cations by His Majesty the King of Denmark of the Inter-
national Maritime Conventions relating to collisions and
salvage, signed at Brussels on the 23rd September, 1910.

Shipping and Seamen Fees in the Solomon, Gilbert, and Ellice
Islands Protectorates.

THE following regulation repealing Regulation No. IV of
1912, fixing the fees to be charged in the Solomon,
Gilbert, and Ellice Islands Protectorates in connection with
shipping and seamen, and making other provisions in lieu
thereof, is published for general information.

KING’S REGULATION.

TO REPEAL REGULATION NO. IV OF 1912 AND TO MAKE
OTHER PROVISIONS IN LIEU THEREOF.

Made by His Britannic Majesty’s High Commissioner
for the Western Pacific under the provisions of the
Pacific Order in Council, 1893.

In the name of His Majesty, George the Fifth, by the Grace
of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Ireland and of the British Dominions beyond the Seas
King, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India.

  1. This Regulation may be cited as the Merchant Shipping
    (Fees) Regulation, 1913.

  2. The Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulation, 1912, is
    hereby repealed.

  3. Whenever any act mentioned in the schedule hereto
    which shall, under the provisions of the Merchant Shipping
    Act, 1894, of the Imperial Parliament, or any Act amending
    the same, be done by, to, or before, a British Consular officer
    is, in the Protectorates of the British Solomon Islands and of
    the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, done by, to, or before, an officer
    for the time being performing the duties of port officer, or
    which shall, under the provisions of the Acts aforesaid, be
    done by, to, or before, a Superintendent, is, in Ocean Island,
    done by, to, or before, a Deputy Commissioner for the Western
    Pacific, there shall be paid in respect of that act the fee
    specified therefor in the said schedule.

  4. All fees levied under this Regulation shall be accounted
    for by the officer levying the same to the Resident Commis-
    sioner in the Solomon Islands or Gilbert and Ellice Islands,
    as the case may be, and, when so accounted for, shall form
    part of the revenue of the Protectorate in which they are
    levied.

  5. All fees of the kind specified in the schedule hereto
    hitherto levied by any officer of the Government of the
    Protectorates aforesaid are hereby declared to have been
    properly charged and collected.

  1. For every declaration taken or recorded under
    the Merchant Shipping Act, with a view to the
    registry, transfer, and transmission of ships,
    interests in ships, or mortgages of ships .. £ s. d.
