Authorizing the Laying-off of Avis Street, in the Town of Remuera Extension No. 31, of a Width of not less than 66 ft.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I hereby authorize the laying-off of Avis Street, in the Town of Remuera Extension No. 31, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Plants declared by the Richmond Borough Council to be Noxious Weeds.—Notice No. 1717.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Richmond Borough Council has, by special order, declared the following plants to be noxious weeds within the meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, in the district under its jurisdiction :—
African box-thorn.
Bathurst burr.
Broom.
Burdock.
Capeweed.
Dock.
Elderberry.
Fennel.
Foxglove.
Giant burdock.
Gorse.
Hakes.
Hemlock.
Kangaroo acacia.
Lupin.
Ox-eye daisy.
Pennyroyal.
Periwinkle.
St. John’s wort.
Tauhinu, or New Zealand cotton-wood.
Thistles: Any species of—
Carlina (stemless thistle).
Carduus (common plume or Scotch thistle).
Cnicus (woolley - headed thistle).
Centaurea (star thistle).
Silybum (milk thistle).
Tutsan.
Viper’s bugloss.
Wild borage.
Wild turnip.

Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1908, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways open for traffic, such alterations to come into force on and after the 14th September, 1913 :—
PART IV.—GOODS: LOCAL RATES.

Except otherwise specified, goods of Classes A, B, C, D, H between Onehunga and Auckland or Newmarket will be charged as follows :—

Ships’ goods will be charged according to ships’ bill of lading, or by weight or measurement, at the option of the Department.
Sugar, syrup, and treacle for shipment will be charged 5s. per ton for conveyance by rail from Auckland Railway Wharf to Onehunga Railway Wharf, including all charges for wharfage at Onehunga, and delivery to ships in trucks alongside the Railway Wharf. Minimum quantity, 2 tons.

Ships’ goods will be charged according to bill of lading, or by weight or measurement, at option of the Department, provided that the charges shall not be computed on more than twice the actual weight of any consignment; other goods by weight or measurement, as the Department directs.

When consignees do not take delivery of ships’ goods from the ships’ slings at the Onehunga Wharf such goods will be received by the Railway Department, and will be subject to the charges provided under Part III of the scale of fares, rates, and charges on the New Zealand Government Railways for loading, unloading, haulage, and storage.
