3. The qualifications required for the position are-

(a.) A thorough training in clerical work.

(b.) A capacity for controlling and directing the work of others.

(c.) A general knowledge of mechanics, chemistry, and electricity.

(d.) Special knowledge of any one of such subjects.

(e.) Some acquaintance with patent law and practice.

4. Absence of one or more of these qualifications will not necessarily render an applicant ineligible.

5. The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.

6. Position will be graded in Class IV, maximum £370 (Clerical Division).
