block of land known as part of 5A of the Mangawara Sub-division of the Woodlands Estate, as delineated on a plan deposited in the Land Registry at Auckland as Number 4047; thence towards the east, south, and west by the Mangatea Stream to the south-east corner of Section 10 of the Rewi Settlement; thence towards the south by the southern boundary of the said Section 10 to a drain known as the C drain; thence by the said C drain to its junction with a drain known as the Maori drain; thence towards the south-east by the said Maori drain to its junction with a drain known as the 10-foot drain; thence towards the west by the said 10-foot drain to its junction with a drain known as the A drain; thence towards the south-east by the said A drain to the south-east corner of a block of land known as Section 11 of the Taupiri Subdivision of the Woodlands Estate; thence towards the south-west by the said Section 11; thence towards the south by Sections 11, 4, and 2 of the said Taupiri Subdivision, a line across a road, Allotments 91 and 90, a line across a road, and Allotments 81, 78, 79, 77, and 75 to the commencing-point. All the said allotments being of the Parish of Taupiri. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable early on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KIRIKIRIROA DRAINAGE BOARD.
EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF AN ORDINARY MEETING OF SUCH BOARD HELD ON THE 5TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1913, AT 2 P.M.
Moved by A. E. Missen.
IN pursuance of and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Kirikiri roa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of three hundred pounds (£300), authorized to be raised by the said Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—of constructing, deepening, and widening drains within the Kirikiri roa Special-rating Area—the said Kirikiri roa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound on the rateable value of the land classified “A” of the Kirikiri roa Drainage Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 63 and 65, part 52, 51, part 52, part 52A, part 61A, part 64, part 61, part 70, part 62, 50, part 52A, 53, part 52, part 53, part 54, part 58, part 59, 55, 56, part 52, part 52A, part 53, part 64, 69, 71, W. part 53, 66, 67, 60, part 53, part 54, part 57, Block IX, Komakorau Survey District, Kirikiri roa Parish; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of August and February during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE CHRISTCHURCH SURVEY DISTRICT, HEATHCOTE COUNTY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A WATER-SUPPLY FOR THE BOROUGH OF LYTTELTON.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, to execute a public work, to wit, to acquire a strip of land upon which to lay a line of pipes for the purpose of providing a water-supply for the Borough of Lyttelton. And in order to execute such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Lyttelton Borough Council at Lyttelton, and is there open for inspection during office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk to the Lyttelton Borough Council at Lyttelton.

I, THOMAS RALPH WISE, heretofore called and known by the name of RALPH RESTALL, of No. 368 Colombo Street, in the City of Christchurch and Dominion of New Zealand, Clerk, born at Christchurch upon the 16th day of August, 1896, hereby give public notice that I have this day formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned my said surname of “Wise,” and have assumed and adopted and determined henceforth on all occasions whatsoever to continue to use and subscribe the name of “Restall” instead of the said name of “Wise,” so as to be at all times hereafter known and described by the name of THOMAS RALPH WISE RESTALL.
