Riccarton Riding.
Bounded by a line commencing in the centre of the road at the junction of Riccarton Road and Waimairi Road; thence northerly along the Waimairi Road to the centre of the Waimairi Stream; thence easterly generally and southerly along the centre of the Waimairi Stream to its junction with the River Avon, being the boundary of the Riccarton Borough; thence westerly and southerly along the boundary of the Riccarton Borough to the centre of Riccarton Road; thence westerly along the centre of the Riccarton Road to the place of commencement.
Middleton Riding.
Commencing at a point on the Lincoln Road, being the southernmost corner of the Riccarton Borough; thence south-westerly generally along the boundary of the Waimairi County to a point opposite to the north-west boundary of R.S. 56; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the north-west and north-east boundaries of that section to the boundary of the Riccarton Riding as hereinbefore described; thence southerly and easterly along the boundary of the last-mentioned riding to the western boundary of the Riccarton Borough; thence southerly and easterly along the Riccarton Borough to the place of commencement.
Marshland Riding.
Commencing at a point being the intersection of the centre-line of the North Road with the centre-line of Prestons Road, being the south-westernmost corner of the Styx Riding; thence easterly, southerly, south-westerly, and easterly along the boundary of the Styx Riding to the centre of Briggs Road; thence westerly along the centre of Briggs Road to its intersection with the centre-line of Hills Road; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the centre-line of Hills and Greens Road to the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the said boundary of the City of Christchurch to Rutland Street; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-west and north-west boundary of R.S. 1048 and a line in continuation thereof to the centre of Winters Road; thence westerly along the centre of Winters Road to its intersection with the centre of the North Road; thence northerly along the centre of the North Road to the starting-point.
Avon Riding.
Commencing at a point on Hills Road being the intersection of the centre-line of Hills Road with Briggs Road; thence easterly generally along the centre of the said Briggs Road to the River Avon; thence southerly and westerly along the River Avon to the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence westerly, northerly, and north-westerly along the boundary of the said City of Christchurch to the centre of Greens Road, being the boundary of Marshland Riding; thence north-easterly and north-westerly along the boundary of Marshland Riding to the starting-point.
Wairarapa Riding.
Bounded by a line at the junction of Yaldhurst Road and the north-west boundary of R.S. 56, being a point on the boundary of the Waimairi County; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the boundary of the Waimairi County to the south-west corner of the Harewood Riding; thence easterly generally along the boundary of the Harewood Riding, as hereinbefore described, to the boundary of the Papanui Riding hereinbefore described; thence easterly generally along the boundary of the Papanui Riding to the northern boundary of the Fendalton Riding hereinbefore described; thence westerly generally along the boundary of the Fendalton Riding to the northern boundary of the Riccarton Riding hereinbefore described; thence north-westerly along the boundary of the Riccarton Riding to the boundary of the Middleton Riding hereinbefore described; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the boundary of the Middleton Riding to the place of commencement.

I, Richard John Sharpe, Clerk to the Waimairi County Council, do hereby certify that the special order of the Council made on the 19th day of June, 1913, and confirmed on the 21st day of July, 1913, altering the ridings of the County, was duly made in accordance with the Counties Act, 1908. And that the alterations to the Hagley, Riccarton, and Middleton Ridings have been duly made, as was made necessary owing to the formation of the Riccarton Borough.

Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-law.β

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 107 of the Counties Act, 1908, that so much of the by-laws made by the Taranaki County Council on the 7th day of October, 1912, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the Taranaki County funds for the licensing of vehicles has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby appoint the Hamilton Borough Council Chambers, Hamilton, at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, the 19th day of August, 1913, to be the place and date for holding the first meeting of the Hamilton Fire Board.
