ence will be sent to the Dead Letter Office in the usual way. Undelivered inland printed matter prepaid ½d. bearing a special request for its return to the sender will be returned and charged ½d. postage, but if it bears no such request and is of no intrinsic value it will be destroyed. For the purposes of this regulation New Zealand includes the Cook Islands—namely, Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu, Aitutaki, Mitiaro, Mauke (Parry), and Hervey (Manuae); and also Palmerston (Avarua), Niue (Savage), Pukapuka (Danger), Rakaanga, Manahiki, Penrhyn (Tongareva), and Suwarrow Islands.

  1. Letters and other articles originating outside New Zealand which bear a special request for return to the sender if not delivered within a stated period are sent by Chief Postmasters at the end of such period to the Dead Letter Office, Wellington, for immediate return to the country of origin. Printed matter posted outside the Dominion, which bears thereon a special request for return to an address in New Zealand if not delivered, or in respect of which the sender makes such an application, will be so returned, but if prepaid ½d. only it will be charged ½d. postage.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Rawhiti Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of January, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Rawhiti Domain, and doth hereby appoint

THE NEW BRIGHTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

to be the Rawhiti Domain Board, having the control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the seventeenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past nine o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the New Brighton Borough Council Chambers, New Brighton, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

RAWHITI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 155 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 1616 (in red) and part of Reserve No. 1579 (in red) situate in the Borough of New Brighton, and bounded towards the north-west by Rural Section No. 16013; towards the north-east generally by the south-western side of the road running along the sea-coast and by Rural Section No. 15835; towards the south-east by Rural Section No. 16238, and towards the south-west by the north-eastern side of the road which forms the south-western boundary of Rural Section No. 16238 aforesaid to Rural Section No. 34174, by that section, and again by the north-eastern side of the last-mentioned road to Rural Section No. 16013 aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 1443, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Seddon Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of January, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the Seddon Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THE AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL

to be the Seddon Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at three o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Awatere County Council Office, Seddon, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

SEDdon DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 9, Block VII, Town of Seddon. Bounded towards the north-east by Seymour Street, 1558·8 links; towards the south-east by Redwood Street, 935·1 links; towards the south-west by Foster Street, 530·3, 720·4, and 298 links; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block VII, Town of Seddon, 367·3 links, 148·6 links, and 316·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 1229/5A, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of January, 1913.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Matamau Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Matamau Domain Board having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the residence of Mr. James Peacock Leighton, Matamau, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
