Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks X and XI, Christchurch Survey District, for the Development of the Lake Coleridge Water-power Scheme.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the development of the Lake Coleridge Water-power Scheme in Blocks X and XI, Christchurch Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Works Office, at Christchurch, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Election of Member of Wellington Land Board.—Result of Poll.

PURSUANT to section 41 of the Land Act, 1908, and the regulations made thereunder, I, Thomas Noel Brodrick, Returning Officer for the election of a member to the Wellington Land Board, do hereby notify the result of the poll taken on the 4th day of June, 1913, for the election of a member to the Wellington Land Board, to be as follows:—

The Patents. Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1911.—Application for Restoration of Lapsed Patent under Section 22.

NOTICE is hereby given that John Charles Snelling, formerly of 6 Crusoe Road, Mitcham, in the County of Surrey, England, now of 10 Crieff Road, Wandsworth, Surrey aforesaid, has made application for restoration of the patent granted to him for an invention for “An improved machine for producing slabs for building purposes,” numbered 26249, and bearing date the 22nd July, 1908, which expired on the 22nd July, 1912, owing to the non-payment of the prescribed renewal fee.

Any person may, on or before the 17th June, 1913, give notice at the Patent Office of opposition to the restoration.

Such notice must be in duplicate, in the prescribed form, set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be accompanied by a stamp for the fee of 10s.
