Consent under Section 298 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
IN pursuance of the power conferred upon the Native Minister by subsection ⑹ of section 298 of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, William Herbert Herries, Native Minister, acting on the recommendation of the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board, do hereby consent to a sale of Rakaiautatahi 1B Nos. IA and IB, containing 72 acres 3 roods 22 perches, situated in the Provincial District of Wellington, subject to the same restrictions and to the same requirements as to confirmation and otherwise as if the land was not subject to Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909.

Consenting to the Assignment of a Lease under Section 311 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
WHEREAS by section 311 of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that—

Except with the precedent consent of the Board, no lease or sublease of land leased by the Board under this Part of this Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, shall be capable of being assigned to any other person; nor, except with the precedent consent of the Board, shall any sublease of any land so demised, or any part thereof, be capable of being granted to any other person:

Except with the approval of the Native Minister, the consent of the Board shall not be given to any assignment or sublease in favour of a European:

Nothing in this section applies to any disposition by will or by operation of law:
And whereas a parcel of land known as Tutuotekaha No. 4 Block is leased to Porikapa Taepa: And whereas the said Porikapa Taepa is desirous of assigning his interest in the said lease to Henry Storey Hutchinson, of Mohaka: And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board, after due inquiry, has recommended that the approval of the Native Minister be granted accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Herbert Herries, Native Minister, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the said section 311 of the Native Land Act, 1909, do hereby approve of the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board granting precedent consent to Porikapa Taepa to assign his interest in the lease of Tutuotekaha No. 4 to Henry Storey Hutchinson, of Mohaka.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public workto wit, the construction of a road in Blocks IX, X, XIII, and XIV, Coleridge Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whakamatau, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
