RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1910, the Rangiora County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the Rangiora County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purchase of a convertible traction-engine and road-roller and three metal wagons, the said Rangiora County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/32 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rangiora; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seventeen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed by the Rangiora County Council at a duly called meeting held at Rangiora on the 14th day of March, 1913.

COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.

Resolution making a Special Rate of 1d. in the Pound passed by the Green Island Borough Council on the 26th November, 1912.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in this behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the supplementary loan of £650, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, for waterworks purposes, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in water-rating area of the Borough of Green Island; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the seventeenth day of May and the seventeenth day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of nineteen years from the seventeenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Green Island was hereunto affixed in attestation that the foregoing is a true copy of the resolution passed by the Green Island Borough Council at a meeting duly convened and held on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

KARAMU LOAN OF £1,750.

Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Raglan County Council at a Meeting of such Council held on the 9th Day of April, 1913, at 1 p.m.

Moved by Councillor Johnstone.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908; and its amendments, and all other Acts and powers (if any) in that behalf enabling it, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £1,750 authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Tunaki Road, the Kaniwhaniwha Road, the road from Whata Whata Bridge to the finger-post on the Raglan Road, and the road from Fortune’s towards Harapepe, within the Karamu Special-rating District, the Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation, on the basis of the unimproved value, of the rateable property of the Karamu Special-rating District of the said county, the boundaries of such special district being as follows:—

Commencing at the northern corner of Section 202, Karamu Parish, and thence running south to the western corner of Section 201; thence north and west along the eastern and northern boundaries of Sections 70A, 70B, 22, 21, 17, 28, and 42 to the north-western corner of Section 42; thence south along the western boundaries of Sections 42, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 1, 64, Run No. 3, Run No. 5, 82, 83, 94, 96, 98, 113, 112, and 111 to the south-west corner of Section 111; thence west along the northern boundaries of Run No. 9 and Run No. 8 to the north-western corner of Run No. 8; thence south along the western boundaries of Run No. 8, Sections 370B, 379, 384, 385, 309, 288, and 287 to the south-western corner of Section 287; thence north and east along the southern boundaries of Sections 287, 288, 289, 290, 291, 156, 155, 154, 153, 152A, 152, 160, 161, 122, 116, 190, 187, 188, 189, 193A, and 194, to the Waipa River; and thence following the western bank of the said Waipa River to the point of commencement: And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Seconded by Councillor Crawford, and carried.

RESULT OF POLL OF PROPOSED LOAN.

BOROUGH OF BLENHEIM.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 29th day of January, 1913, a proposal was submitted by the Blenheim Borough Council to the ratepayers of the said borough for raising a special loan of £1,500 for the improvement and renovation of the Town Hall, Blenheim, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 145; against, 237; informal, 23.

And I declare the said proposal to be not carried.
