Declaring Wharekopae-Waikohu and Makaretu Roads, in the Ngatapa Block, Waikohu County, to be County Roads.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, 1913.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.
SCHEDULE.
NGATAPU BLOCK ROADS.
ALL that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waikohu County, known as the Wharekopae-Waikohu Road, commencing at its junction with the Waikohu Valley Road, adjoining Section 2, Block II, Ngatapa Survey District, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction generally through the said Section 2, and along the western boundaries of Sections 6, 7, and 8, Block III, Ngatapa Survey District, to its junction with the Makaretu Road, being a distance of four miles, more or less.
Also all that road in the said land district and county known as the Makaretu Road, commencing at its junction with the said Wharekopae-Waikohu Road at the south-western corner of the said Section 8, and proceeding in an easterly direction generally along the southern boundary of the said Section 8 and the southern boundaries of Sections 9 and 10, Block III, Ngatapa Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 10, being a distance of 2 miles 65 chains, more or less; as the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 33303, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, Owango Township, known as the Kakahi Terrace, commencing at the junction with the Owanga Road and proceeding generally in a northerly direction fronting Sections 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 18, and 17, Block VII, Owango Township, and terminating at the junction with the Onematau Road, being a distance of 13 chains or thereabouts.
Also that portion of road in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as the Onematau Road, commencing at the junction with the Kakahi Terrace, and proceeding in an easterly direction, fronting Sections 17, 16, and 15, Block VII, Owango Township; thence along frontage of Sections 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15, Block VI, Owango Township; thence along part frontage of Section 14, Block V, Owango Township, and terminating at a point about 1¼ chains east of the junction with Ohoeka Street on boundary of Section 14, Block V, aforesaid, being a distance of 18½ chains or thereabouts.
Also that portion of road in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as the Owanga Road, commencing at the junction with the Kakahi Terrace, and proceeding in an easterly direction, fronting Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block VII, Owango Township; thence along frontages of Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block VI, Owango Township; thence along frontages of Sections 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block V, Owango Township; thence crossing the North Island Main Trunk Railway line, and terminating at the junction with the Taumarunui-Ohakune Road, being a distance of 23 chains or thereabouts.
Also all that street in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as Oioi Street, commencing at the junction with Owanga Road, fronting Sections 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 20, Block VI, Owango Township, and terminating at the junction with Onematau Road, being a distance of 15 chains or thereabouts.
Also all that street in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as Ohoeka Street, commencing at the junction with the Owanga Road, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction along frontages of Sections 6, 7, and 8, Block V, Owango Township; thence in a northerly direction along frontages of Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Block V, aforesaid, and terminating at the junction with the Onematau Road, being a distance of 17 chains or thereabouts.
Also all that road in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as the Onepu Road, commencing at the junction with the Taumarunui-Ohakune Road, and proceeding in an easterly direction along frontages of Sections 13 and 12, Block I, Owango Township; thence along frontages of Sections 13 and 12, Block II, Owango Township, and terminating at a point about 5 chains east of the junction with Okioi Street on frontage of recreation reserve, Block III, Owango Township, being a distance of 17 chains or thereabouts.
Also that portion of road in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as the Omaki Road, commencing at the junction with the Taumarunui-Ohakune Road, and proceeding in an easterly direction along frontages of Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block I, Owango Township; thence along frontages of Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block II, Owango Township; thence along frontages of Sections 20 and 1, Block III, Owango Township; thence along frontages of Sections 20 and 1, Block IV, Owango Township, and terminating at the junction with Onge Street, being a distance of 23 chains or thereabouts.
Also all that street in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as Ohorere Street, commencing at the junction with the Omaki Road, and proceeding in a northerly direction, fronting Sections 1, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, and 13, Block II, Owango Township, and terminating at the junction with the Onepu Road, being a distance of 10 chains or thereabouts.
Also that street in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as Okioi Street, commencing at the junction with the Omaki Road, and proceeding in a northerly direction, fronting Sections 20, 19, 18, and 17, Block III, Owango Township; thence along frontage of recreation reserve, Block III, aforesaid, and terminating at the junction with Onepu Road, being a distance of 10 chains or thereabouts.
Also that street in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as Oru Street, commencing at the junction with Omaki Road, and proceeding in a northerly direction along frontages of Sections 20, 19, 18, and 17, Block IV, Owango Township, and terminating at a point opposite the northern boundary of Section 17, Block IV, Owango Township, being a distance of 4 chains or thereabouts.
Also that street in the said land district and county, Owango Township, known as Onge Street, commencing at the junction with Omaki Road, and fronting Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block IV, Owango Township, and terminating at a point opposite the northern boundary of Section 4, Block IV, aforesaid, being a distance of 4 chains or thereabouts.
As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 33268, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.
