THE following resolution, made by the Wairarapa South County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Wairarapa South.

WHEREAS the Wairarapa South County Council has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £500 for the purpose of forming, metalling, and culverting 142 chains of the Tea Creek Road, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has finally granted the application for such loan at the rate of £5 1s. per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance part of such loan—namely, £200—at the said rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £5 2s. 10d. per centum per annum:

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Wairarapa South County Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect of such part of such loan—namely, £200—the said Wairarapa South County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tea Creek Special-rating Area, and being all those pieces of land comprising Section 1, Carrington Settlement (331 acres 3 roods 5 perches), part Sections 361, 362, and 363 (666 acres 1 rood 12 perches), Sections 355, 357, and part 356 (360 acres), all in Block III, Tiffin Survey District, as such sections and parts of sections are more particularly delineated in the plan attached to the application for loan, and therein coloured red; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such part of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such part of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such part of such loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of a resolution passed at and recorded in the minutes of a meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council held at Carterton on the 22nd day of February, 1913.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Cook County Council has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £9,300 for the purpose of constructing a series of roads in the Whataupoko Riding, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has finally granted the application for such loan at the rate of £3 10s. per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance part of such loan—namely, £1,860—at the same rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £3 17s. 6d. per centum per annum:

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Cook County Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect of such part of such loan—namely, £1,860—the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/200 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Whataupoko Riding of the County of Cook; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such part of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such part of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such part of such loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Cook County Council this 20th day of February, 1913.

WHEREAS the Cook County Council has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £12,000 for the purpose of meeting a levy by the Cook Charitable Aid Board, to build a new hospital at Gisborne, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has finally granted the application for such loan at the rate of £3 10s. per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance part of such loan—namely, £5,000—at the same rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £3 17s. 6d. per centum per annum:

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Cook County Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect of such part of such loan—namely, £5,000—the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/200 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Cook; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such part of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such part of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such part of such loan is fully paid off.

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Cook County Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect of such part of such loan—namely, £1,500—the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/40 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Hangaroa No. 4 Special-rating District; and that such special rate shall be a annual-recurring rate during the currency of such part of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such part of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such part of such loan is fully paid off.

Description of the Hangaroa No. 4 Special-rating District.
—Small Grazing-runs Nos. 62, 32, 35, 65, 29, 31, 27, Hangaroa Survey District.
