Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Kelso Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eleventh day of February, 1913.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THOMAS JENKINS, Jun.,
JAMES LAIDLAW HERBERT,
ALEXANDER THOMSON,
ROBERT LEASK, and
ROBERT GEORGE FOSTER

to be the Kelso Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and Robert George Foster’s office, Kelso, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

KELSO DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block III, Town of Kelso. Bounded towards the north by Cheviot Street, 1143·2 links; towards the south-east generally by Crookston Burn, 1920 links; towards the south by Hawick Street, 795 links; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 12 and 18 of aforesaid block, 1083·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. & S. 1191/35A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Wahi Takaro Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and six, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Wahi Takaro Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expires on the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

GEORGE ROBERT HOLTON,

as from the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, to be the Wahi Takaro Domain Board having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at a quarter past eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Board Office, Amberley, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

WAHI TAKARO DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 55 acres, more or less, situate in Block VIII, Teviotdale Survey District, and bounded north-eastward by Reserve 899, south-eastward by the road reserved along the Ocean Beach, south-westward by Crown land, and north-westward by the road forming the south-east boundary of Rural Sections 22381, 29897, 22411, and 20486; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1246/23A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Manunui Town District not to be Part of County of Kaitieke.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eleventh day of February, 1913.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Governor is satisfied that the population of the Manunui Town District, in the County of Kaitieke, exceeds five hundred, and the Town Board of the said Manunui Town District has made application that the said town district shall not form part of the County of Kaitieke, being the county within the boundaries of which it is situated:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1908 (No. 2), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, the Manunui Town District shall not form part of the County of Kaitieke.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such
