half by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect of such part of such loan—namely, £3,340—the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 17/128 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such part of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being thirty-six years and a half, or until such part of such loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 12th day of December, 1912.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Hawera Borough Council has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £5,000 for the purpose of carrying out waterworks improvements in respect of water-supply in the borough, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has provisionally approved the application for such loan at the rate of £3 15s. per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance such loan—namely, £5,000—at the said rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £3 17s. 6d. per centum per annum: Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased payments in respect of such loan—namely, £5,000—the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 235 of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed at a special meeting of the Hawera Borough Council held on the 18th day of December, 1912.

Copy of Resolution of the Kaponga Town Board at a Special Meeting held 24th December, 1912.
WHEREAS the Kaponga Town Board has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £5,000 for the purpose of constructing a water-supply and drainage system and the connection of private premises therewith, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has finally granted the application for such loan at the rate of £3 10s. per centum per annum: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance part of such loan—namely, £1,000—at the said rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £3 17s. 6d. per centum per annum: Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Kaponga Town Board hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing money sufficient to cover the increased payment in respect of such part of such loan—namely, £1,000—the said Kaponga Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaponga Town District, comprising the whole of the Town District of Kaponga; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such part of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such part of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such part of such loan is fully paid off.

RANGIORA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £3,000.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Rangiora taken on the 17th day of December, 1912, on the proposal of the Rangiora County Council to borrow the sum of £3,000 for—
(a.) The purchase of a convertible traction-engine and road-roller, and three metal wagons .. £1,300
(b.) The erection of County Council offices and dwelling for Clerk .. .. .. 1,700
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 182, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 63. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Wairoa was taken on 19th December, 1912, on the proposal of the Wairoa Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,500 for the purpose of erecting and furnishing Borough Council chambers.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 44; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 88; informal, 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.
