Resolutions made by the Council of the Borough of Petone.

THE following resolutions, made by the Petone Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—The Petone Waterworks Loan, 1912, of £2,000.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Petone Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making payments of moneys advanced for the purchase of Native lands, for the repayment of moneys advanced for the fencing of the waterworks reserve, and for improvements in the waterworks main pipe-line, the Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Eastern Petone Special-rating Area, as set out and defined by resolution of the Council passed on the 13th day of June, 1912, and as shown on a duly authenticated roll of the aforesaid area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council on the 26th day of November, 1912.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—The Petone Borough Town Clock Loan, 1912, of £600.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the said Petone Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a clock and chimes to be placed in the tower of the Municipal Buildings, Petone, the said Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/56 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Eastern Petone Special-rating Area, as set out and defined by a resolution of the Council passed on the 13th day of June, 1912, and as shown on the duly authenticated roll of the aforesaid area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—The Petone New Hutt Bridges Loan, 1912.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,500, authorized to be raised by the Petone Borough Council, under the Public Works Act, 1908, and under the above-mentioned Act, by special order, for the purpose of providing the amount necessary to enable the Petone Borough Council to comply with an order made by the Governor by Warrant under his hand dated the 22nd day of April, 1912, and duly gazetted on the 9th day of May, 1912, by which the said Council was ordered to pay certain moneys and perform certain works in connection with the construction of bridges over the Hutt and Waiwetu Rivers, and the approaches thereto, the said Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Petone; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Akaroa.

THE following resolution, made by the Akaroa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £1,200.—Onawe Flat Road Wharf and Shed Special-rating Area.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Akaroa County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Akaroa County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the completion of the Flat Road Wharf and Shed at Onawe Peninsula, between Duvauchelle and Barry’s Bay, the said Akaroa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/9 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Onawe Flat Road Wharf and Shed Special-rating Area.

The boundaries of the said special-rating area are as follows: Commencing on the 1-chain reserve above high-water mark, at the south-east corner of Rural Section 2114; thence north-easterly by the south-east boundary of said section to the old Okain’s Road; thence north-easterly by that road to its junction with the new Okain’s Road at the north-east corner of Rural Section 9481; thence following the new Okain’s Road to its junction with the Summit Road; thence in a generally westerly direction following the boundary-lines dividing the Akaroa and Wainui Road District on the one side, and the Okain’s Bay and Pigeon Bay Road Districts on the other side, to the Purau Track on the old Pigeon Bay Saddle; thence in a westerly direction following the Summit Road to its junction with the main Little River coach-road at the north-west corner of Rural Section 14417; thence southward by the boundary-line dividing the Akaroa and Wainui Road District and the Wairewa County to the
