Amended Regulation under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, 1912.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke clause (2) of Regulation No. 36 of the regulations made under the said Acts on the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following provision; and doth hereby declare that the same shall be read as part of the said regulations made on the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

REGULATION.

  1. (2.) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in sub-clause (1) of this regulation, where the publication of the balance-sheet of any borough and the report of the Audit Office thereon would entail considerable expense, the Governor may, by Warrant under his hand, prescribe that such balance-sheet and report shall be deemed to be duly published if a notice is published in at least four times in one or more newspapers circulating in that borough, stating that the annual balance-sheet of the borough and the report of the Audit Office thereon will be open for inspection at the office of the Town Clerk of the borough during specified hours and for a specified period not being less than thirty days, and that copies of such balance-sheet and report may be obtained on application; and if the provisions of that Warrant are duly observed, the balance-sheet and report therein referred to shall be deemed to be duly published.

Amending Terms and Conditions of Lease of Lands in Mataroa Village Settlement.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, 1912.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and two, under the authority of section one hundred and sixty-nine of the Land Act, 1892, fixing the terms and conditions of lease upon which lands in Mataroa Village Settlement should be disposed of, it was provided that no married woman shall be eligible as a selector, and that no lessee shall hold more than one allotment in the said village settlement: And whereas it is expedient, subject to the approval of the Wellington Land Board, to allow married women to select land, and also to allow lessees to hold two allotments in the Mataroa Village Settlement aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council aforesaid in so far as it provides that no married woman shall become a selector and that no lessee shall hold more than one allotment in the Mataroa Village Settlement; and doth by this present Order declare that, on and after the date hereof, any married woman may, subject to the approval of the Wellington Land Board, select land in the said Mataroa Village Settlement, and that any settler may apply for and acquire two allotments in the said village settlement.

Fixing Sittings of Court of Appeal.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, 1912.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Judicature Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as shall from time to time be fixed by the Governor in Council, and proclaimed in the Government Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby fix that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon :—

Monday, the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Monday, the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Monday, the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Recreation Reserve in Wellington Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, 1912.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Gonville Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

GONVILLE DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres and 0-8 perch, being parts of Lots 6 and 7, Block II, on deposited plan No. 937, and part of Lot 8, right bank of Wanganui River, and being all the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 132, folio 80; Vol. 137, folio 104; Vol. 138, folio 38; and Vol. 146, folio 117, Wellington.

Regulations under the Land Agents Act, 1912.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1912.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Land Agents Act, 1912 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time by Order in Council make regulations prescribing such forms as are required for the carrying-out of the said Act, and generally for any purpose necessary for giving effect to the provisions of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to make such regulations accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the regulations hereinafter set forth, and doth hereby declare that the said regulations shall come into force on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen (being the date of the commencement of the said Act).

REGULATIONS.

  1. EVERY application for a license under the said Act shall be in the form No. 1 in the Schedule hereto.
