Resolutions made by the Council of the County of Heathcote.

THE following resolutions, made by the Heathcote County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £11,714.—Cashmere Water-supply and Sewage Scheme.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,714, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for sewage and water-supply to the Cashmere Special-rating Districts, and hereby specified, the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies the following special rates upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special areas described below:—

(a.) A special rate of 1d. and 5/16 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the special area as follows: All that area of the Cashmere Riding of the Heathcote County being part of Block XV of the Christchurch Survey District, herein more particularly described—commencing at the junction of the Heathcote River and Colombo Road; thence in a westerly direction following the course of the Heathcote River to the western boundary of Rural Section 112; thence southerly to the Cashmere Road; thence westerly along the Cashmere Road to the eastern boundary of Rural Section 549; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 549, 24085, 1335, and along the eastern and northern boundaries of Rural Section 2013 to a point 450 links south of Hackthorne Road and 500 links west of Dyers Pass Road; thence following a line through Rural Section 2063, 500 links west of the western boundary of Dyers Pass Road and for a distance of 4000 links; thence easterly in a right line to Dyers Pass Road; thence northerly along Dyers Pass Road to the point of commencement.

(b.) A special rate of 13/16 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the special area as follows: All that part of the Cashmere Riding of the County of Heathcote being part of Block XV of the Christchurch Survey District herein more fully described—starting at the intersection of Dyers Pass Road and Colombo Road; thence easterly along Hills Road to Rossmore Terrace; thence easterly and southerly along Rossmore Terrace to the south-western boundary of Rural Section 241; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Rural Section 1713; thence southerly and westerly along the southern boundary of Rural Section 1713 for a distance of 2100 links; thence southerly to a distance of 500 links north of the northern boundary of Hackthorne Road; thence southerly and easterly following a line 500 links from Hackthorne Road to its junction with Dyers Pass Road; thence northerly along Dyers Pass Road to the point of commencement.

I, George Scott, Chairman of the Heathcote County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Heathcote County Council held on the 12th day of November, 1912.

In testimony thereof the common seal of the Heathcote County Council has hereunto been affixed this 15th day of November, 1912.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £7,423.—Cashmere Roading Scheme.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,423, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for a roading scheme and other works incidental thereto in the Cashmere Riding in the County of Heathcote, the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/32 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Cashmere Riding aforesaid, comprising the area as follows:—

All that area of the Heathcote County known as the Cashmere Riding, being part of Block XV of the Christchurch Survey District herein more fully described. Starting on the centre of the River Heathcote and at a right line to the western boundary of Rural Section 11465, and thence in a south-easterly direction along the said boundary to the eastern boundary of Rural Section 2135, and southerly along the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 2135, 34655, 17908, 11549 to the summit of the main ridge of the Port Hills; thence southerly and westerly to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 452; thence northerly by road known as Worsley’s Track running along the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 338, and through Rural Sections 493, 10210, 31363, 31362, 2063; thence along the west and north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 1325 and through Rural Section 383 to the north-eastern corner and by a right line to the middle of the Heathcote River; thence north and east generally along the Heathcote River to the point of commencement.

Resolutions made by the Johnsonville Town Board.

THE following resolutions, made by the Johnsonville Town Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Johnsonville Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,500, authorized to be raised by the Johnsonville Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for a water-supply and drainage system, the said Johnsonville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/11 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property in the Johnsonville Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at an ordinary meeting of the Board on the 8th day of October, 1912, and confirmed on this 22nd day of October, 1912.
