the north-eastern corner of Section No. 66, Block I afore-

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF WANGANUI.
Bounded towards the north-west generally by Waimarino
County as described in the Second Schedule to the Kaitieke
County Act, 1910, from the middle of the Wanganui River
to the western boundary of Rangitikei County as described
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 73, of the 1st September,
1904 ; thence towards the east and south-east generally by
Rangitikei County to the mouth of the Wangaehu River ;
thence towards the south-west by the sea to the mouth of
the Wanganui River ; thence towards the west generally by
a line along the middle of the Wanganui River to the Borough
of Wanganui ; thence by that borough to the Borough of
Wanganui East ; thence by the last-mentioned borough and
the production of its north-eastern boundary to the middle
of the Wanganui River ; and thence again by a line along
the middle of that river to Waimarino County, the place of
commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of
Borough of New Plymouth.

PURSUANT to section 118 of the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to
be notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations,
signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area
described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him,
praying that the said area may be excluded from the County
of Taranaki and included in the Borough of New Plymouth,
and added to the Fitzroy Ward of the said borough. All
persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written
objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration
within one month from the first publication of this notice.
Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and for-
warded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF NEW
PLYMOUTH.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District being Section
No. 159, Block II, Paritutu Survey District. Bounded to-
wards the north-east, east, and south-east by the Waiwakaiho
River from the easternmost corner of Section No. 17 to the
north-eastern boundary of the Borough of New Plymouth ;
thence towards the south-west by the present north-eastern
boundary of that borough to Section No. 17 aforesaid ; and
thence towards the north-west by that section to the Wai-
wakaiho River, the place of commencement.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Wanganui.

THE following resolution, made by the Wanganui County
Council, is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution making and levying a Special Rate to provide In-
terest and Sinking Fund on Loan as provided by Section 4
of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, passed
on the 1st November, 1912.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the
amendments thereto, the Wanganui County Council hereby
resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the
interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorized to
be raised by the Wanganui County Council, under the provi-
sions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of—
(a.) Forming the Wangaehu Road as a dray-road from the
northern boundary of Section 4, Block VIII, Nga-
matea Survey District, to the Pangarara Stream,
the sum of £600.
(b.) Forming the said road as a 6 ft. bridle-track from the
point where it crosses the Pangarara Stream to the
Wangaehu River, the sum of £200,—
the said Wanganui County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable (capital)
value of all rateable property in the Pungataua Special-
rating District, comprising the following subdivisions of the
Pungataua and Parapara Blocks : Part Pungataua Block,
Block XII, Ngamatea Survey District, 3,500 acres ; part
Pungataua Block, Block XII, Ngamatea Survey District,
2,530 acres ; part Pungataua Block, Block XII, Ngamatea
Survey District, 600 acres ; Parapara 2b2A, Block XI, Nga-
matea Survey District, 288 acres 1 rood 13 perches ; Para-
para 2b2L, Block XI, Ngamatea Survey District, 363 acres
and 36 perches ; Parapara 2b2N, Block XI, Ngamatea Survey
District, 91 acres and 33 perches ; Parapara 2A2B, Block XI,
Ngamatea Survey District, 860 acres ; Parapara 2b2M, Block
XI, Ngamatea Survey District, 59 acres 3 roods 2 perches ;
Parapara 2b2P, Block XI, Ngamatea Survey District, 10
acres ; Parapara 2b2O, Block XI, Ngamatea Survey District,
11 acres 3 roods 23 perches. And that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and
the 1st day of October in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and
a half, or until the loan is fully paid off ; the interest and
repayment of such loan being together at the rate of £5 1s.
per centum per annum.
I, William John Polson, Chairman of the Wanganui County
Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly
passed at a meeting of the Wanganui County Council held
on the 1st day of November, 1912.
