THE following resolutions, passed by the Legislative Council and by the House of Representatives, are published in accordance with section 324 of the Land Act, 1908.

EXTRACT FROM THE JOURNALS OF THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, WEDNESDAY, THE 28TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1912.

RESOLVED, “That the reports (2, 3, and 4) of the Lands Committee, brought up on Tuesday, 27th August, 1912, on papers 4, 48, and 185, containing proposals to reserve certain lands permanently as endowments for educational purposes, be agreed to by the Council.”

On motion of the Hon. Mr. Stevens.

EXTRACT FROM THE JOURNALS OF THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, TUESDAY, THE 29TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1912.

RESOLVED, “That the report (53) of the Lands Committee, brought up on Friday, the 25th day of October, 1912, upon paper 219 of 1912, being a proposal that certain lands in the Auckland Land District should be permanently reserved as endowments for primary education, be agreed to.”

On the motion of the Hon. Mr. Kelly.

EXTRACT FROM THE JOURNALS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, MONDAY, THE 14TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1912.

ORDERED, “That this House approves of the lands specified in Parliamentary Papers No. 4 of Session I, and Nos. 9 and 246 of Session II, 1912, laid upon the table of the House on the 21st February, the 28th June, and the 10th September, 1912, respectively, being permanently set aside as endowments for primary education; and the land specified in Parliamentary Paper No. 185 of Session II, laid upon the table of the House on the 13th August, 1912, being permanently set aside as an endowment for secondary education.”

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Wanganui East and of Wanganui County.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 13th November, 1912.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the Borough of Wanganui East are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by an Order in Council dated the 9th day of September, 1912, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, and published in Gazette No. 72, of the 12th day of September, 1912.

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the County of Wanganui, affected by the alteration made by the said Order in Council dated the 9th day of September, 1912, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF WANGANUI EAST.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Wanganui River in line with the south-western boundary of Section No. 93, Block I, Ikitara Survey District; thence to and along that boundary and along the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 79 and 78 to Lot No. 5 on plan No. 1102, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that lot, the abutment of a road, and along the western and part of the southern boundaries of Lot No. 1 on plan No. 853,
