Resolution made by the Oroua Drainage Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Oroua Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

OROUA DRAINAGE BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and their amending Acts, the Oroua Drainage Board hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing the interest charges and sinking fund on a loan of £300 under the before-mentioned Acts, being 10 per centum upon an original loan of £3,015 for Special District No. 4, the Oroua Drainage Board makes and levies special rates upon the rateable values of all rateable properties in Special District No. 4—viz., a special rate of 1/20 of a penny in the pound on the rateable values of Sections 1, 3, 338, 339, 386, and Subdivisions 33, 57 to 75 (both inclusive), 84, 85, 99, 101, 102, 103, 104, and parts of 86 and 105; a special rate of 1/30 of a penny in the pound on the rateable values of Sections 2, 5, 6, 7, and Subdivisions 31, 100, and parts of 56 and 105; a special rate of 1/50 of a penny in the pound on the rateable values of Section 4 and Subsections 32, 82, 83, 106 to 115 (both inclusive), and part of 56, and all in Blocks Nos. XI, XII, XV, XVI, Te Kawau Survey District, County of Manawatu—for the payment of interest at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum, and for the term mentioned, and for the repayment of loan-moneys; and that such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of May and November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Hawera.

THE following resolution, made by the Hawera Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out waterworks improvements in respect of water-supply in the borough, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/13 of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be on annual-recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of thirty-six years and a half or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed at a special meeting of the Hawera Borough Council held on the 25th day of September, 1912, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 25th day of October, 1912.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the County of Rodney, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

RODNEY COUNTY.

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 19th day of October, 1912, a proposal was submitted by the Rodney County Council to the ratepayers of the Wellsford-Whangaripo Special-loan District, for raising a special loan of £1,250 for forming and metalling the Wellsford-Whangaripo Road, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 44 ; against, 8.

I declare the said proposal to be carried.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Winton, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF WINTON.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Winton taken on the 15th day of October, 1912, on the proposal of the Winton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2,500 for the purpose of installing Aerogen safety gas within the Borough of Winton, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 6, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 51; informal, 1.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of Patetere Riding of the County of Matamata taken on the 19th day of October, 1912, on the proposal of the Matamata County Council to borrow the sum of £15,000 for improving the grades and metalling certain roads in the riding, which proposal was published in the Waikato Times on 13th, 20th, 27th September and 4th October, 1912, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 85, the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 99, and the number of votes informal was 7.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
