If the said Board fails to comply with any of the conditions of this license the Minister may, by notice in writing, require the said Board within thirty days to remedy the default specified in that notice; and if the said Board fails to comply with the terms of the notice within the said period it shall be liable to a penalty of £10, to be recoverable by or on behalf of the Minister as a debt due to the Crown.

Notwithstanding anything in the last preceding clause of these conditions, if the said Board fails to comply with the terms of any such notice for ninety days after the receipt thereof, the Governor in Council may thereupon revoke this license without further notice.

For the purpose of ascertaining whether the conditions of this license are being faithfully complied with by the said Board, the Minister, or any person appointed by him in that behalf, may at all reasonable times enter on the said works and inspect the same.

Nothing in this license shall be deemed in any way to interfere with, affect, or abridge any rights or powers vested in His Majesty the King, or in the Governor on his behalf, authorizing the construction, management, or working of any public works; nor shall any compensation be payable to or on behalf of the said Board for injury done to the works herein authorized by the construction, management, or working of any such public work as aforesaid, or for the loss occasioned thereby, or for the exercise of any such right or power as aforesaid.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Canterbury Acclimatization District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Canterbury Acclimatization District, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.

Red-deer stags may be taken or killed within the Canterbury Acclimatization District from the 1st day of April, 1912, to the 15th day of May, 1912 (both days inclusive).

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch, upon the recommendation of the secretary of the Canterbury Acclimatization Society, on payment of a license fee of £4, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number of such licenses to be issued by the said Postmaster shall not exceed ten: Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than two stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than eight points. Ball cartridge only to be used: Provided that no metal-natched or metal-cased bullet shall be used for killing such deer.

No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

All regulations as to deer “tags” in force within the said district shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

Southland Racing Club’s Racecourse, Invercargill Hundred, to be a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 127 acres and 16 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 5 and 6 and portion of a closed road situated in Block II, Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road; towards the north-east by Section No. 13 of Block II, Invercargill Hundred, the abutment of a closed road, and again by the last-mentioned section; towards the south-east by Section No. 7 of the said Block II; and towards the south-west by a public road.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in the Marlborough Land District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more of the purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in Part II of the Schedule hereto from that named in Part I of the said Schedule to that named in Part III of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
PART I.
Description and Purpose of Original Reserve.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or less, situated in Block XII, Linkwater Survey District, adjoining the Town of Picton, and being Section 55, Picton Suburban. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by Crown land; towards the east generally by Picton Town Sections Nos. 997 and 999 and a public road; and towards the south-west by section numbered 12, Picton Suburban: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5330/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Set apart as a reserve for timber by notification in Marlborough Provincial Gazette No. 88, of the 22nd December, 1864, and granted to the Superintendent of Marlborough on the 27th January, 1866, for the purpose of supplying timber for the public service.
