Constituting Court for hearing Petition re Licensing Poll, Horouta Maori District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in that behalf conferred upon me by the Licensing Act, 1908, I, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby decide that the Stipendiary Magistrates hereinafter named shall constitute the Court for the hearing, on the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, of any petition for inquiry into the conduct of the licensing poll taken in the Horouta Maori District, being a district duly proclaimed as a district in which the provisions of section forty-six of the Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1910, shall apply, viz. :-

WILLIAM ALFRED BARTON, Esq., Stipendiary Magistrate, Gisborne;
SAMUEL ERNEST MCCARTHY, Esq., Stipendiary Magistrate, Napier; and
ROBERT WILLIAM DYER, Esq., Stipendiary Magistrate, Rotorua.

Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant Raymond William Woods to be Quartermaster, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant, vice Harris, transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 15th November, 1911.

Regimental Sergeant-major Samuel Cunningham Greer to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 8th January, 1912.

6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles.

Lieutenant James William Clevely resigns his commission. Dated 11th December, 1911.

8th (South Canterbury) Mounted Rifles.

2nd Lieutenant William John Roberts resigns his commission. Dated 1st November, 1911.

9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles.

Supernumerary 2nd Lieutenant Montgomery Owen Grainger is absorbed into the establishment, vice Sturton, resigned.
