Station No. 149A, at the north-western corner of the said Motu No. 1 Block; thence by a right line to Pokaikiri Trig. Station; thence by Section No. 2, Block V, Motu Survey District, Sections Nos. 2, 1, and 4, Block IX, Motu Survey District, Sections Nos. 3 and 2, Block XII, Moanui Survey District, Small-grazing Runs Nos. 90 and 89, and the north-western boundary of those runs produced south-westerly to its intersection by a right line running from Kaharoa Trig. Station to Te Wana Trig. Station, being the western boundary of Tahoma No. 2. Block; thence by the western boundary of the said Tahoma No. 2 Block to its intersection by a right line running from the summit of Mangatapere Mountain to the summit of Mangapowhatu Mountain; thence by a right line to the summit of the said Mangapowhatu Mountain; and thence towards the west generally by Whakatane County as described in the Schedule to the Whakatane County Act, 1899, to the place of commencement.
WAikOHU COUNTY.
All that area bounded towards the north-west generally by Opotiki County hereinbefore described, from the summit of Mangapowhatu Mountain to Waiapu County; thence towards the north-east and south-east generally by Waiapu and Cook Counties, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 71, of the 8th August, 1907, and No. 42, of the 9th May, 1912, respectively, to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 1, Block VIII, Tuahu Survey District; thence towards the south generally by that section and Small-grazing Run No. 84 to the Makokamuka Stream; thence by that stream to the Ruakituri River; thence by that river to its intersection by a right line running from Puketapu to the summit of Mangapowhatu Mountain; and thence by a right line to the summit of that mountain, the place of commencement.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Cheviot.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of October, 1912.

THE HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Cheviot, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.

For preparing the defaulters list and the rolls for ridings within the County of Cheviot: Until the 22nd day of October, 1912.

Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 28th day of October, 1912, to the 15th day of November, 1912.

Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 30th day of November, 1912.

Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 20th day of December, 1912.

Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 1st day of January, 1913.

Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of October, 1912.

THE HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the blocks or parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the blocks or parcels of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.
