OHAKUNE DISTRICT.

All that area bounded towards the north generally by the northern boundary of Manganui Riding of Kaitieke County from the north-eastern corner of Block I, Ruapehu Survey District, to a line running from Ngauruhoe Trig. Station to Paratetaitonga Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Ngauruhoe Trig. Station; thence towards the north-east by a right line to Trig. Station 28, Kaimanawa Survey District; thence by a right line to Trig. Station No. 24, Te Rotete; thence by a right line to Trig. Station No. 17, Auahitotara; thence by the western watershed of the Moawhango River and the north-western watershed of the Waitangi Stream to Trig. Station I, Karioi Survey District; thence by a right line to the summit of Tuhirangi Mountain; thence towards the south generally by a right line to the source of the Rangiwaia Stream; thence by the Rangiwaia Stream to its confluence with the Wangaehu River; thence by the Wangaehu River to where the Waokaramu Stream joins that river; thence by the Waokaramu Stream to Field’s Track; thence by Field’s Track to the summit of the range west of the Wangaehu River; thence towards the west generally by the summit of that range to Trig. Station F, Kawaiotawaki; thence by a right line to the junction of the Ohotu-Karioi Road and Junction Road; thence by Junction Road to the Oruakukuru-Karioi Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to the Otiranui Road; thence by that road to the western boundary of Otiranui No. 2 Block; thence by the western boundaries of Otiranui Nos. 2 and 3 Blocks to the northernmost corner of the latter block; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Makaranui and Mangawhero Streams; thence by the latter stream to the Taonui Stream; thence by the Taonui Stream to the south-western boundary of the Urewera Block; thence by part of the south-western and part of the north-western boundaries of that block to the western boundary of Ruapehu Survey District; thence by the western boundary of that survey district to the Ngahuinga Stream; thence by that stream to the eastern boundary of Block V, Ruapehu Survey District; and thence by Blocks V and I, Ruapehu Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the latter block, the place of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fourth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Districts constituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Taupo, Te Kuiti, Mangaroa-Mangapehi, Taumarunui, Raetihi, and Ohakune Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into eleven registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Taupo, Tokaanu, Te Kuiti, Mangapehi, Ongarue, Aria, Mangaroa, Taumarunui, Owhango, Raetihi, and Ohakune Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fourth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor may by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King, and it shall vest accordingly and shall become Crown land:

And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:

And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board duly considered and adopted the resolution:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land set out in the Schedule hereto is vested in His Majesty the King, and is Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in the Porangahau Survey District, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, containing 1,313 acres 1 rood, more or less, and being the land known as Porangahau 1A3B Section 2 Block.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
