And whereas on the twentieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the Waihemo County Council, the local authority having control of the roads described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said roads :
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those roads (two) in the Waihemo County, Otago Land District, adjoining or passing through Sections 1 and 7, Block I, Dunback Survey District ; as the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32187, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking Order in Council declaring that the Provisions of the Mining Act shall apply to mining for Diamonds in a Portion of the Hauraki Mining District.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1912.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Mining Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the Order in Council published in Gazette No. 72, of the thirty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, declaring that the provisions of the Mining Act shall apply to mining for diamonds in a portion of the Hauraki Mining District described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by a right line from the source of the Waikoukou River to the northernmost corner of Section No. 97, Paremoremo Parish ; thence by Pukeatua and Okura Parishes to the sea ; thence towards the east generally by the sea to the mouth of the Wairau Stream ; thence towards the south generally by the said Wairau Stream and its northern branch, through Sections Nos. 105, 113, and 112, Parish of Takapuna, to its source ; thence by a right line to the source of Hellyer's Creek ; thence by the said Hellyer's Creek to Waitemata Harbour ; thence by the waters of the said Waitemata Harbour, by Brigham's Creek and Waipareira Parish, to the Kumeu River; and thence towards the west generally by that river and the Waikoukou River to the source of the latter river, the place of commencement.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that there shall be constituted a Board, to be called the Prisons Board, consisting of not less than three nor more than seven persons : And whereas by the said section it is provided that the members of the Board shall be appointed from time to time by the Governor in Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
GIBBES CLAUDE BORLASE JORDAN, Esq., Under-Secretary for Justice,
to be a member of the Prisons Board constituted under the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, as aforesaid.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1912.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than an alienation in favour of the Crown.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Tahoraite Survey District, in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing 7,015 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less, and being the land known as Manawatu 4D or Tiratu Block.

Regulations for the Appointment of Staff and Enrolment of Boys in New Zealand Training-ships.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1912.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section four of the Training-ships Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the said Act, and do hereby declare that such regulations shall come into force on the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and shall then supersede all existing regulations made under the said Act for the purposes aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
- In these regulations, where not inconsistent with the context,
"The Minister" means the Minister of Marine for the time being :
"The training-ship" means any ship or vessel declared to be a training-ship under the Training-ships Act, 1908. - Applications for enrolment in the training-ships must be made in writing on the form laid down, and addressed to the Secretary, Marine Department, together with the medical-inspection form duly filled in and certified to by a medical practitioner, also two certificates as to character, one of which must be from a Justice of the Peace or a clergyman.
- Applications must be made by the parent or guardian of the candidate, accompanied by a written consent to his enrolment, and on the candidate being finally enrolled an undertaking must be given that he will not be removed from the vessel (unless discharged) for a period of two years, or for such other period as the Minister may determine.
