At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1912.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in pursuance of section nineteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, a petition was presented to the Governor praying that parts of the Borough of Waikouaiti should be excluded from the said borough and included in the County of Waikouaiti :
And whereas, after inquiry and report by a Commission as directed by the said section, a poll was taken on the fifteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, on the proposal that the areas described in the Schedule hereto, being parts of the said borough, should be excluded therefrom and included in the said county, and the result of that poll was in favour of the said proposal :
And whereas it is expedient that the area described in the said Schedule hereto should be excluded from the said Borough of Waikouaiti :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the said Borough of Waikouaiti.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north-east by a right line from the southernmost corner of Section No. 80, Block V, Hawksbury Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section No. 2, Block IV; thence towards the east by the last-mentioned section to its south-western corner; thence towards the south-east by a right line to a point on the boundary-line between Allotments Nos. 4 and 5, resubdivision of Hawksbury Estate, 20 chains distant from the main road measured along the said boundary-line; thence by a right line to a point on the north-eastern side of Quarry Road distant 18 chains from the junction of that road with Mill Road; thence towards the south-west by the north-eastern side of Quarry Road to the south-eastern boundary of the northern part of Section No. 57, Block V aforesaid ; and thence towards the north-west by the said northern part of Section No. 57, by Section No. 71, by the south-eastern side of the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 84, and 83, Block V aforesaid, and by Section No. 82 to the southern-most corner of Section No. 80, the place of commencement.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north-east by the present north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Waikouaiti, being the north-eastern boundary of the Matanaka Estate from the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 4, Block VI, Hawksbury Survey District, to the sea; thence towards the south-east and south-west by the sea to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 74, Block VI aforesaid, Recreation Reserve ; thence towards the north-west and west by the said Section No. 74 to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 79, Block LXVII, Town of Hawksbury; thence towards the north by a right line running due east to a point due south of the south-eastern corner of Section No. 4, Block VI aforesaid ; thence towards the west by a right line running due north to the south-eastern corner of the said Section No. 4; and thence by that section to the place of commencement.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked 1912/698, deposited in the office of the Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Cave Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of September, 1912.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and five, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Cave Domain : And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Cave Domain Board having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, at three o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Hall, Cave, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
CAVE DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3683 (in red), Rosewill Settlement, situate in Block IX, Pareora Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Mackenzie main road, 722 links ; towards the north-east by Section No. 77, 1450 links ; towards the south-east by Section No. 74, 722 links and towards the south-west by the abutment of a public road and by Section 29 and by part of the Mackenzie main road, a total of 1450 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1072/26A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
