Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

GONVILLE AND CASTLECLIFF TRAMWAY BOARD.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the electors of the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District entitled to vote on a proposal to raise a loan was taken on the 23rd day of August, 1912, on the proposal of the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway Board to raise a special loan of £3,500, to be called “The Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway Board Tramway Competion Loan of £3,500,” for the purpose of completing the tramway undertaking of the said Board.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 130. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 7. I declare therefore that the proposal was carried.

Notifying Land in the Canterbury Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1908.

Office of Board of Land Purchase Commissioners,
Wellington, 26th August, 1912.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Timaunga Extension Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 29th June, 1912.

SCHEDULE.

TIMAUNGA EXTENSION SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,061 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Lots 2, 3, and 4 of deposited plan 2313, Blocks VII and XII, Nimrod Survey District, V and IX, Otaio Survey District, being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 257/210, 257/211, and 257/60, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch; and as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19428, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
