TE AWAMUTU TOWN BOARD.

In pursuance of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Te Awamutu Town District was taken on the 14th day of August, 1912, upon the proposal of the Te Awamutu Town Board to borrow the sum of £20,000 for the construction of waterworks for the supply of water, including the purchase of all necessary land, plant, and materials (£18,000), and for the formation, construction, and metalling of streets (£2,000).

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 115. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 37. Informal, 8.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

TE AWAMUTU TOWN BOARD.

In pursuance of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Te Awamutu Town District was taken on the 14th day of August, 1912, upon the proposal of the Te Awamutu Town Board to borrow the sum of £8,000 for the purpose of constructing gasworks, and acquiring, erecting, and constructing all land, buildings, plant, and other things necessary or proper for the supply of gas.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 100. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 52. Informal, 6.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

TAMAKI WEST ROAD BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of that portion of the Tamaki West Road Board in the special-rating area, being the whole of Allotments 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 39A, and 40A of the District of Tamaki, and also the northern portions of Allotments 33, 34, 35, and 36 of the same district, now occupied by Mr. Gill, and divided from the southern portion of same allotments, now in occupation of Mr. John Pilkington, by a fence running in a straight line from the Orakei Creek to the junction of the Kohimarama and St. Helier’s Roads, and also the southern half of Allotment 27 of same district, as now owned and occupied by Mr. Arthur Hossack, was taken on the 17th day of August, 1912, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £1,200 for forming and making a road along high-water mark from Waipareira Road to the Kohimarama Wharf, and contingencies and engineering charges in connection therewith.

The number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 49. The number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 1. The total number of valid votes recorded was 50.

I therefore declare the above proposal carried.

TAMAKI WEST ROAD BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposals to raise Loans.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Tamaki West Road Board was taken on the 17th day of August, 1912, on proposals to raise a special loan of £19,000 for road improvements in the Tamaki West Road District, and a further special loan of £10,000 for water-supply, the purposes of each of such proposals being fully set forth in the Auckland Star of 18th July and 1st August, 1912, and the New Zealand Herald of 25th July and 8th August, 1912, being newspapers circulating in the Tamaki West District.

Proposal for Road Improvements, £19,000.

The number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 111. The number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 69. The total number of valid votes recorded was 180.

Proposal for Water-supply, £10,000.

The number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 118. The number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 60. The total number of valid votes recorded was 178.

I therefore declare each of the above proposals to be carried.

TAMAKI WEST ROAD BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of that portion of the Tamaki West Road District in the special-rating area situate on the eastern side of the Long Drive, and as shown on plan deposited in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland as No. 410, was taken on the 17th day of August, 1912, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £6,000 for laying sewerage pipes and other necessary work for drainage and removal of sewage from the aforesaid portion of the Tamaki West Road District, and contingencies, engineering charges, &c.

The number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 61. The number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 25. The total number of valid votes recorded was 86.

I therefore declare the above proposal to be carried.

BOROUGH OF RIVERTON.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Riverton taken on the 20th day of August, 1912, on the proposal of the Riverton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £3,300 for the purpose of installing the Dreadnought gas within the borough, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 65, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 11.

I therefore declare the said proposal carried.
