Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Mount Eden.

THE following resolution, made by the Mount Eden Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

  1. That as the amount of the loan of £31,700 raised for waterworks extension and general roadworks is found insufficient to complete the undertaking in respect of which it was raised, that this Council borrow the further sum of £3,170 for the purpose of completing that undertaking.

  2. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on such loan of £3,170, this Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property situated within the Mount Eden Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council held on the 19th day of August, 1912.

Resolution made by the Raglan Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Raglan Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

RAGLAN TOWN DISTRICT.

Resolution striking Special Rate over Raglan Town District for Loan of £500.

RESOLVED, That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Raglan Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of £500, authorized to be raised under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of purchasing the town hall, the Raglan Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/16 of a penny in the pound sterling, to be levied upon the rateable valuation (on the basis of the capital value) of the rateable property of the Town District of Raglan; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of forty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan Town Board held at Raglan on the 5th day of August, 1912.

Resolutions made by the Otatau Town Board.

THE following resolutions, made by the Otatau Town Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

OTATAU TOWN BOARD.

Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Rating Act, 1908, the Otatau Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £1,000 sterling, authorized to be raised by the Otatau Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, for the completion of the Otatau Town Hall and Coronation Library and Town Board offices, as has been already authorized by the ratepayers, for furnishing same, and for paying the costs incidental to raising the loan and the first year’s interest, the said Otatau Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of the property within the Otatau Town District, comprising 860 acres, more or less, as described on page 1819 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 136, of the 27th December, 1883; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year, being a period of twenty-five years, or until such time as the loan is fully paid off.

OTATAU TOWN BOARD.

Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Rating Act, 1908, the Otatau Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £4,000 sterling, for bringing in from Butler’s (or other) Creek a high-pressure water-supply for such of the following as may be found practicable—household purposes, fire-prevention, sanitary purposes, lighting, power, and for such other purposes as the supply may serve; for acquiring the necessary land, for building dams, for retaining-walls, for laying reticulation and distributing pipes, for making all necessary connections, erecting buildings if necessary, and generally carrying out a high-pressure water-supply scheme in its entirety as may be recommended by a competent engineer; for paying such engineer; for paying the costs incidental to raising the loan and the first year’s interest—the said Otatau Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound on the rateable value of the property within the Otatau Town District, comprising 860
