Polling-places for Egmont Electoral District appointed.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Legislature Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish all existing polling-places in the Electoral District of Egmont, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be polling-places for the said Electoral District of Egmont.

Appointing a Member of the Otago Harbour Board.
———
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS it is provided by section seventeen of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, that the office of any member of a Harbour Board shall become vacant if, inter alia, he resigns his office by writing under his hand delivered to the Secretary or Chairman of the Board :
And whereas it is provided by subsection two of section eighteen of the said Act that when an elective member other than a representative of a constituent district vacates his office on the Board through the operation of the said section seventeen, the Governor may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place :
And whereas William Barclay, an elective member of the Otago Harbour Board, being a representative of the combined district of the Boroughs of Port Chalmers and the West Harbour, has resigned his office as a member of the Board, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person as a representative of that district in his place :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint Thomas Scollay to be a member of the Otago Harbour Board as a representative of the combined district of the Boroughs of Port Chalmers and West Harbour, in the place of William Barclay, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
