Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Tramway Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing and equipping a tramway into the Fendalton Tramway Special-rating Area, the said Christchurch Tramway Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (according to the capital rateable value thereof) of the Fendalton Tramway Special-rating Area, comprising that portion of the Waimairi County which was duly defined by the said Christchurch Tramway Board under the provisions of section 3 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, at a meeting held on the 6th day of June, 1911, the boundaries of which were duly published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 15th day of June, 1911; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-two years from the 1st day of October, 1912, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Resolution re Papanui Tramway Loan.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, and the Christchurch Tramways District Act, 1906, and the Acts amending the same, the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Tramway Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing and equipping a tramway into the Papanui Tramway Special-rating Area, the said Christchurch Tramway Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (according to the capital rateable value thereof) of the Papanui Tramway Special-rating Area, comprising all that portion of the Waimairi County which was duly defined by the said Christchurch Tramway Board under the provisions of section 3 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, at a meeting held on the 26th day of February, 1912, the boundaries of which were duly published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 7th day of March, 1912; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-two years from the 1st day of October, 1912, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following resolution, made by the Hobson County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate to provide Interest on Omana Loan of £1,150.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,150, authorized to be raised by the Hobson County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling roads within the Omana Special-rating District, the said Hobson County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Omana Special-rating District, comprising the following area—Whanga Mokopuna, Walton’s Grant Nos. 1, 1A, No. 2, No. 3, Maungaru Survey District, and containing 8,498 acres; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Hobson County Council held on the 15th day of August, 1912; and the common seal of the Hobson County was hereunto affixed this 15th day of August, 1912, in the presence of—

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Waipawa taken on the 14th day of August, 1912, on the proposal of the Waipawa County Council to borrow the sum of £21,000 for the purposes of bridge-construction, road-construction, metalling roads, and sundry road improvements in the County of Waipawa, which proposal was published in the Waipawa Mail newspaper upon 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th July, 1912, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 383, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 236.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
