Regulations for Sambur or Ceylon Deer Shooting, Counties of Manawatu, Oroua, and Kairanga.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of August, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations respecting the Sambur or Ceylon deer shooting season within the Counties of Manawatu, Oroua, and Kairanga (hereinafter called “the said district”).

REGULATIONS.

  1. Sambur or Ceylon deer (stags or bucks only) may be taken or killed within the said district from the 2nd day of September, 1912, to the 30th day of September, 1912, both days inclusive.

  2. Licenses to kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Wellington, and the Postmasters at Palmerston North, Bull’s, Foxton, and Marton, on payment of a license fee of 20s., in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Acts and these regulations.

  3. No licensee shall be allowed to take or kill more than three stags or bucks; and, further, the said Chief Postmaster and Postmasters shall not issue more than one license to take or kill deer to the same person.

  4. No hind or fawn will be allowed to be killed on any pretext whatever; and no dogs will be allowed to accompany either the licensee or any attendant he may have with him.

  5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of August, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Puniu Domain.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, being part of Lot 5, Allotment 236, Parish of Mangapiko, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 79, folio 235 (Auckland).

Setting apart Land under the Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1910.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of August, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section three of the Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1910, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1910.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block XCIX, Town of Waitara West Survey District. Bounded on the north by Parris Street, 400’36 links; on the east by Strange Street, 756’24 links; on the south by Brookes Terrace, 400’36 links; and on the west by Nelson Street, 756’24 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth.

Opossums to cease to be Imported Game.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the date hereof, opossums of every variety shall cease to be deemed to be imported game within the provisions of the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Waitahuna West Survey District, Otago Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor

WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more of the purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in Part I of the Schedule hereto from that named in Part II of the said Schedule to that named in Part III of the said Schedule.
