KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Mangarere Road No. 2 Special-rating District.—Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of continuing the metalling of the Mangarere Road, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/28 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangarere Road No. 2 Special-rating District, being Sections 3 and 4A, Block X; 1, 2, 3 (part), 4, 5, 6, 7, Block XIV; 6 and 10, Block XV, Hautapu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year to be paid out of loan.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Kiwitea County Council held on Saturday, the 15th day of June, 1912.

THE following resolution, made by the Wairoa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

COUNTY OF WAIROA.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £5,000.—Whakaki Drains.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for draining land in the Whakaki Special District, the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 77/128 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whakaki Drainage District, comprising the area as follows:—

Commencing at the Wairoa River at the north-western corner of the Ohuia No. 3 Block; following the northern boundary of that block to the Hinewhaki No. 3 Block; following the western boundary of that block and the western boundary of the Rurakaiputara No. 2 Block to the Kahuitara No. 2 Block; following the north-western boundary of the Kahuitara No. 2A Block to Section 2, Block II, Clyde Survey District; following the western boundary of that section and the northern boundary of Section 1, Block II, Clyde Survey District, to the Tukemokihl No. 2 Block; following the western and northern boundaries of that block to the portion of the same block occupied by Mrs. L. J. Parker; following the southern boundary of that land and the southern boundary of the same block, occupied by Mr. S. Twigg, to the Hereheretau A Block; following the northern boundaries of the Hereheretau A and C Blocks, and the northern and eastern boundaries of the Hereheretau B Block, to the sea-coast; following the sea-coast to the Nga-motu Block; following the eastern and northern boundaries of that block to the Wairoa River; and

following that river to the starting-point, and being the following land: Kahuitara No. 1A (or part No. 2c), part Tukemokihl 2, Opoiti and Clyde; Te Kopua A, B, C, D, part Tukemokihl 1 and 2, Opoiti and Clyde; part Tukemokihl No. 2, Clyde; Te Whakaki, Block VIII, Clyde; part Tukemokihl 1 and 2, Opoiti and Clyde; Ohuia No. 1, Block II, Clyde; Ohuia Nos. 2 and 4, Block II, Clyde; part Kairangi No. 1, part 2, Block II, Clyde; part Kairangi No. 2, Block II, Clyde; Te Rewa Nos. 1 to 6, Clyde; Hinewhaki 3 East, Clyde; Tukemokihl 3B No. 2, Lot 2, Tukemokihl No. 2, Clyde; Lot 3, Tukemokihl No. 2, Clyde; Section 2, Clydebank, Block II, Clyde; Section 1, Clydebank, Block II, Clyde; Wairau, Clyde; part Tukemokihl No. 4, Clyde; Tukemokihl 3A, part B and C, Rurakaiputara No. 2, Block II, Clyde; Tukemokihl 3B No. 1, Hereheretau B, Nuhaka and Clyde.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, John Hunter Brown, Chairman of the Wairoa County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the above Council held on the 14th day of June, 1912, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 12th day of July, 1912.

THE following resolution, made by the Upper Hutt Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

UPPER HUTT TOWN DISTRICT.

Resolution making and levying a Special Rate to provide for the Payment of the Interest and Principal on a Loan of £600 obtained for the Purpose of acquiring Land for a Waterworks-site and the Water Rights thereon.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Upper Hutt Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of acquiring land for a waterworks-site and the water rights thereon, the said Upper Hutt Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/24 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Upper Hutt Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, George Isaac Benge, Chairman of the Upper Hutt Town Board, do hereby declare that the aforesaid resolution was unanimously adopted at a special meeting of the Upper Hutt Town Board held on the 10th day of July, 1912.
