para County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Waipara River, to be known as the Waipara Traffic-bridge, the construction of which work the Council was authorized to execute by Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, gazetted on page 3700 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1911, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/186 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property, comprising the whole of the County of Waipara; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 25th day of March and the 25th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed by the Council on the 13th day of July, 1912.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate for Repayment of Loan.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,800, authorized to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act; for the purposes of—
(a.) To acquire additional land for and to complete the erection of the town hall, and the furnishing thereof, a sum of … … £1,500
(b.) To provide and install all plant, machinery, and fittings necessary for and incidental to the generation and supply of electricity to and for the purposes of such town hall, a sum of … … … 700
(c.) To complete the erection of the public offices and public library (combined), and the furnishing thereof, a sum of … … 1,600

the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/64 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Eltham as appearing on the valuation roll; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid on such loan is at the rate of £5 per centum per annum, with the addition of a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year, and all preliminary expenses in connection with the said loan.
The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary general meeting of the Eltham Borough Council held on Friday, the 28th day of June, 1912.

Resolution made by the Waitara West Road Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Waitara West Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waitara West Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £80, authorized to be raised by the Waitara West Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the construction of a portion of the Bertrand Road, the said Waitara West Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Bertrand Road Special-rating District, comprising part Section 85, Block IX, Waitara Survey District, and Sections 86, 87, and 90, Block V, Waitara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the cost of raising the loan be paid out of it.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waitara West Road Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Otane Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

OTANE TOWN BOARD.
Resolution making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Otane Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Otane Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of erecting Dreadnought Gasworks and lighting the Otane Town District with Dreadnought gas, the said Otane Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Otane Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; and it is further resolved that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest thereon shall be paid out of such loan.
