rate of 4/9 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property of the Taihape Water-supply Special-rating District, comprising all sections in Blocks I to XII inclusive; Sections 1 to 7 and 12 to 14 inclusive, Block XIII; all sections in Blocks XIV and XVIII inclusive; all sections in Block XXI; and Section 45A, Taihape Suburban; all in Taihape Township: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Anthony Nathan, Mayor of Taihape, do hereby certify that the above special resolution was duly made and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Taihape Borough Council which was held on Wednesday, the 17th day of January, 1912.

THE following resolution, made by the Johnsonville Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.

It was resolved, on the motion of Councillor Moore, seconded by Councillor Wallis, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Johnsonville Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Johnsonville Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purpose—viz., the purchase of a petrol-gas plant for the lighting of the town, together with the materials and fittings and land required in connection therewith—the said Johnsonville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property of the Johnsonville Town District (exclusive of Newlands), the same being a special-rating area for the purpose of the above loan; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.—Carried.
I certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly convened meeting of the Board held on Tuesday, 23rd January, 1912.

WAIMATE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waimate Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £850, authorized to be raised by the Waimate Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purchase of land for waterworks purposes, the said Waimate Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/7 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waimate, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waimate; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waimate Borough Council held on the 9th day of January, 1912.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Resolution making Special Rate.
On the motion of Councillor Kernohan, seconded by Councillor Chadwin, resolved, That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers thereto enabling, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal and other charges upon a loan of £1,000, authorized by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of forming, metalling, and culverting the main roads within the special-rating area known as the Whauwhau Special-rating District, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said special-rating district, comprising the area within the following boundaries—bounded commencing at the south-western corner of Section 55, Parish of Whangarei; thence in a north-eastern direction along the northern boundaries of the said Sections 55, 58, 60, 61, and 62 of the said parish; thence along the eastern boundary of Ketenikau Block 7 to its junction with the Kamo Town District boundary-line; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary-line of the said Kamo Town District to the Whangarei–Kamo Road; thence generally southerly by the western boundary of the Borough of Whangarei to the south-eastern corner of Section 77, Parish of Whangarei; thence along the southern boundary of said Section 77 to the south-western corner thereof; and thence by the north-western lines of Sections 73, 76, 52, and 55 to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby declare and certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a properly constituted meeting of the Whangarei County Council held this 19th day of January, 1912.
