amendments thereto, the Waimairi County Council hereby
resolves (by way of special order) as follows: That, for
the purpose of providing the interest at 3½ per centum
per annum, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of
£680, authorized to be raised by the Waimairi County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following
purposes—namely, concrete channelling, asphalting, and re-
grading the footpaths on the various roads within the said
part of the said district hereinafter described, the said
Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the
rateable property in that part of the Waimairi County
District, being part of Rural Section 9, Block 11, Christ-
church Survey District, bounded towards the east by the
northern railway-line, towards the south by the Addington
drain, towards the south-west by the south-west boundary
of Rural Section 9, and towards the north-west and north
by the north-west and northern boundary of the said rural
section; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st
day of September in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and
a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 2nd day
of November, 1911, and confirmed at a meeting held on the
8th day of January, 1912.
This is to certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the
resolution as it appears in the minute-book of the Council.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and
amendments thereto, the Waimairi County Council hereby
resolves (by way of special order) as follows: That, for
the purpose of providing the interest at 3½ per centum
per annum, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of
£230, authorized to be raised by the Waimairi County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following
purposes—namely, purchasing land and formation of road
to continue Dudley Street to connect with Whiteleigh
Avenue, and construction of concrete channels and culvert,
and asphalting paths on such new road within the said
part of the said district hereinafter described, the said
Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the
rateable property in that part of the Waimairi County
District being part of Rural Section 118, Blocks 11 and 15,
Christchurch Survey District, and being Lots 17, 18, 20,
22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 34, 41, 45, 47, 49, 51, 53, and 55 as
shown on deposit plan No. 359 in the Land Transfer Office,
Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable half-yearly on the 1st day of November and the
1st day of May in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

Council, is published in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its
amendment.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.
At a special meeting of the Waikohu County Council held
on Friday, the 19th day of January, 1912, the following
resolution was passed:—
Resolution.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the
New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and
the amendments thereof, the Waikohu County Council
hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of pro-
viding the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £6,000,
authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council
for the purpose of paying the said county’s share of the cost
of a new hospital at Gisborne, as proposed by the Cook
Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, the said Waikohu
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
1/20 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the whole of the County of Waikohu;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of July in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and
a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was hereto affixed

Act, for the following purposes—namely, channelling,
asphalting, and regrading the footpaths in a special area
of the said Council’s district hereinafter described, the said
Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 13/32 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all the rateable property in that part of the Wai-
mairi County District, being parts of Rural Sections 323
and 151, commencing at a point on the Harewood Road,
being the easternmost corner of Rural Section 323; thence
south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that
section, a distance of 12855 links; thence south-easterly
along the north-eastern boundary of Lots 21 to 29, as shown
on deposit plan 377, to the south-eastern corner of Lot 21;
thence along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 37; thence
north-westerly along James Street to a point opposite to the
south-eastern boundary of Lot 37; thence across James Street
and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 37 to the south-
western corner thereof; thence north-
westerly along the south-western boundary of Lots 30 to
37 to the north-western corner of Lot 30; thence westerly
along the northern boundary of Lot 68 to Park Road;
thence north-westerly along Park Road and the stream
forming the south-west boundary of Lot 3 shown on deposit
plan 1656 to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned
lot; thence north-easterly along the north-western bounda-
ries of Lots 1, 2, and 3 shown on deposit plan 1656, and
Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8 shown on deposit plan 2075, to the Hare-
wood Road; thence south-easterly along the Harewood Road
to the place of commencement; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
