Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing in water-race held by applicant under Licenses 629, 7/2/01, and 2486, 6/8/08, about 1 chain below the Cromwell-Wanaka Road near Queensbury, running 4 chains to dam applied for by Application No. 21, and running to applicant's farm; total length about 2 miles, 40 chains of which runs through the private lands of Christina Foster.

Length and intended course of race: 2 miles; north-east to south-west.

Points of intake: Water-race held under Licenses 629, 7/2/01, and 2486, 6/8/08.

Estimated time and cost of construction: Two months; £20.

Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. deep, 2 ft. wide.

Number of heads to be diverted:

Purpose for which water is to be used: Irrigation and domestic purposes.

Proposed term of license: To end of term of License No. 629, 7/2/01.

In the matter of the will of THOMAS KEENAN, formerly of St. Bathans, in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Dominion of New Zealand, but lately residing at the Forbury Road near Dunedin, Sheep-farmer, deceased, and of the trusts and shares of MARK KEENAN and MICHAEL KEENAN thereunder; and in the matter of the Trustee Act, 1908; and in the matter of a petition filed herein by JOHN KEENAN, PATRICK J. KEENAN, and MARY KILGARIFF.

To all to whom it may concern:

NOTICE is hereby given that this honourable Court will be moved by counsel on behalf of the above-named petitioners on Friday, the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, at the Supreme Court, Dunedin, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon (or so soon thereafter as the said petition can be heard), for an order that the said JOHN KEENAN, PATRICK J. KEENAN, and MARY KILGARIFF, are entitled to receive, and that the Registrar do pay to the said JOHN KEENAN, PATRICK J. KEENAN, and MARY KILGARIFF, or their agents or agent, in equal shares, the moneys paid into Court as representing the shares of the said MICHAEL KEENAN and MARK KEENAN under the said will of the said THOMAS KEENAN, deceased, after payment thereout of the costs of all parties of and incidental to this petition, such costs to be taxed by the Registrar of this honourable Court; and for such other order as to this honourable Court may seem proper.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Eastbourne proposes, under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—namely, the making of a parade—and for the purpose of such public work the lands specified in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in my public office, situate at No. 145 Featherston Street, Wellington, and is open for inspection, without fee, during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Council, addressed to me at the office aforesaid.
