In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Karangahake Gold-mining Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company duly convened and held at the company’s office, Hobson Buildings, Shortland Street, Auckland, on the 26th day of April, 1912, the following special resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company duly convened and held at the company’s office, Hobson Buildings, Shortland Street, Auckland, on the 14th day of May, 1912, the following special resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :—

“That the Karangahake Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily, under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and at such last-mentioned meeting HENRY JAMES LEE, of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and their amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a bridge over the Hutt River and the necessary approaches thereto—and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and are there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand office of the Kotuku Oilfields Syndicate (Limited) has been removed from Bridge Street, Reefton, and that the situation and locality of the said office is at No. 78 Jervois Quay, Wellington.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the GOVERNMENT PRINTER, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.

BANKRUPTCY NOTICES.

THE public are informed that extracts from the New Zealand Gazette, containing all Bankruptcy Notices that appear in each issue, are published weekly, and will be sent post-free to any address on payment of a subscription of 10s. per annum. Single copies, 3d each.
