Resolution made by the Moutoa Drainage Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Moutoa Drain-
age Board, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its
amendment.

MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

Copy of Resolution passed by the Moutoa Drainage Board
at a Meeting held on 29th March, 1912, and confirmed
on 26th April, 1912.

THAT, under the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1908, and the provisions of the New Zealand
State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the regulations
made thereunder, the Moutoa Drainage Board hereby re-
solves: That, for the purpose of providing interest and
other charges on a loan of £600, such loan being 10 per
cent. on the original loan of £6,000 raised by the said
Board for the construction of an overflow channel from
the Karikari Drain to the Manawatu River, the said
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/15 of a
penny in the pound upon the rateable (capital) value of all
rateable properties in the Moutoa Drainage District
Special-rating District; and that such rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six years and a half, to be payable
on the 1st day of May in each year, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly
passed at a meeting of the Moutoa Drainage Board on
29th March, and confirmed 26th April, 1912.

Resolutions made by the Council of the County of Raglan.

THE following resolutions, made by the Raglan County
Council, are published in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its
amendment.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolutions authorizing Raisure of Loan of £5,000 over
Te Akau Special-rating District, and striking Special
Rate over Te Akau Special-rating District as Security
for Loan of £5,000.

Resolution No. 1.

RESOLVED that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on it by the Counties Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act,
1910, and amendments thereto, and all other Acts in that
behalf enabling, and in particular the powers vested in it
by section 15 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and
by subsection (2) of section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Amendment Act, 1910, and with the consent of the rate-
payers of the Te Akau Special-rating District, testified by
a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the
ratepayers of the said special-rating district, the capital
values of whose properties are appearing on the valuation
roll of the said district are collectively greater than the
capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did
not so consent, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves:
That, for the purpose of forming and metalling certain
roads at Te Akau within the Te Akau Special-rating Dis-
trict of the said county, the Raglan County Council
hereby authorizes the raisure of a loan of £5,000 at a rate
of interest of 5 per centum per annum, together with an
additional sum of £1 per centum per annum with which to
provide the necessary sinking fund, for a period of thirty-
five years; and declares that the cost of raising the loan
shall, if necessary, be payable out of the moneys so raised.

Resolution No. 2.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by
the Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the
Counties Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and amend-
ments thereto, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling,
for the purpose of forming and metalling certain roads at
Te Akau, within the Te Akau Special-rating District of
the said county, the Raglan County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Akau
Special-rating District.

The boundaries of the said special-rating district are as
follows: Commencing at the coast-line at the north-west
corner of Section 1 of Block VI, Whaingaroa Survey Dis-
trict; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 1,
5, 7, 8, 9 of Block VI, and Sections 1, 2, 3 of Block VII,
to the north-east corner of Section 3 of Block VII;
thence south along the eastern boundaries of Sections 3,
4, 8, 9, and 4 of Blocks VII and X, and Section 5 of
Block X, to the south-east corner of Section 5 of Block X;
thence west along the southern boundaries of
Sections 5 and 2 of Block X and Section 5 of Block IX to
the south-west corner of Section 5 of Block IX; thence
north along the western boundary of Section 5 to the south-
eastern corner of Section 2 of Block IX; thence south and
west taking in 100 acres of Section Te Akau D No. 9 to
the coast-line; thence north along the coast-line to the
point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years,
and the rate of interest to be paid to be £5 per centum per
annum, together with an additional sum of £1 per centum
per annum with which to provide the necessary sinking
fund, or until the loan is fully paid off; and it is the
intention to pay out of the loan, if necessary, the cost
of raising same.

The above resolutions were duly passed at a meeting of
the Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the
8th day of May, 1912.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been
affixed this 8th day of May, 1912, in the presence of—

Waimairi.

THE following resolution, made by the Waimairi
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its
amendment.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local
Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and the New Zea-
land State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, the Waimairi
County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the
purpose of providing the interest at the rate of 3¾ per
centum per annum, sinking fund, and other charges on a
loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Waimairi
County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the
following purposes—namely, construction of a drain from
the south side of the railway-line to Wilson’s Creek,
through Rural Sections 1765 and 436, within the said part
of the said district—the Waimairi County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound on the
rateable value of all the rateable property in that part of
the Waimairi County District, being Rural Sections 1796,
1788, and parts of Rural Sections 1765, 1527, 811, and 589,
in Block 3, Christchurch Survey District, commencing at a
point being the south-west corner of Rural Section 1765;
thence north-westerly along the south-west boundary of
that section, a distance of 1780 links; thence south-
