Empire Day to be observed as a Holiday on King’s Birthday.

Special Order made by the Pukekura Road Board, Waipa County.

THE following special order, made by the Pukekura Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

It is hereby resolved (1) That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, a loan of £2,625 be raised for the purpose of paying the Board’s contribution towards the cost of constructing a high-level bridge over the Waikato River at Cambridge, ordered to be paid by the Pukekura Road Board by Warrant of His Excellency the Governor dated the 7th day of May, 1906, such loan to be for a period of thirty-six years and a half, under the provisions of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and to be secured by a special rate of ½d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Pukekura Road District. Neither the cost of raising the loan nor the interest for the first year to be paid out of the loan.

(2.) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the above loan, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Pukekura Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Oroua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Oroua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Oroua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of construction of Arapata Road, the said Oroua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised in the special-rating area described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE SCHEDULE REFERRED TO.

Number of section, block, and survey district: Section 1, Blocks 13 and 14, Ongo Survey District. Area: 3,591 acres. Rateable value: £38,782.
